Yeah Sphinx, I have to say I think I figured out Iggy and Pongo and forgot to figure out Ancelin lol.  Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for screwing them up a bit--I didn\'t have reference when I drew the first two pages lol.  Now, to go figure out Ancelin better...

i can sorta explain the low quality for ancilin and the backgrounds

i had the first page 80% done within the first week and roughs for the last 4 pages done
it was going to be longer but, hey life gets in the way.. and i had to cut it short...
anyway then this whole mess of shit got thrown my way so i forgot about this battle until
about 1 and a half weeks until the battle was due... so i tryed to do it in the few minutes a day
i had free (during lunch breaks at work for example) and this is the end result...
pongo probably looks better coz hes my character and i draw him 24/7

anyway im not trying to defend myself i know this is shit, and ill have to battle Bobo again
to make up for this..

anyway im taking a break from battles for abit too get my shit straight...

good stuff Bobo, i think you nailed Iggy and Pongo\'s character
And i think the arena fight thing was cool

I definitely need to work on my dynamic poses, but most of the problems for this battle was because I ended up being rushed at the last minute.  Next battle will be much better.  As for the Arena thing being done a million times, I don\'t doubt it, but I\'m pretty sure I\'ve never seen an arena battle on VOID yet, so it can\'t be that common.  But no excuses here; I really just got a brain fart on coming up with the storyline, so whatever.

Anyway, Sphinx, I enjoyed seeing Ancelin drawn in such a different style, but it\'s too bad you didn\'t have more time on this; if everything was colored as well as Pongo, it would have been sweet.  I mean, it\'s already pretty cool.  I like your shady precept for fighting lol.  I think we\'ll have to rematch sometime later when we\'re both not going to be rushed.

Yeah, I\'m sorry to say both stories were pretty weak...

Bobo (-Bo bo-bo bo-bo!) your coloring\'s nice and I liked the dungeon/captive room Iggy and Pongo were in, but again your story wasnt very interesting and your action shots were a little dull, they could use some dynamic angles and poses and you need to figure out how to show rapid movement a little better, all of the action shots look like the characters posed from the shot if you get me. But you know, practice up and good show for on your first battle.

Sphinx, I\'ve know you\'ve got better, but you said it was rushed and this isnt half bad for a rushed thing anyway, sadly you had 4 weeks to do this and its too bad you couldnt put more time into it. But the textures on Pongo are awesome, so much credit for that atleast.

Your coloring skills are pretty formidable. Back that up with some more dynamic lineart and you\'ll have a winning combination. I thought your story was a bit lacking, and the \"arena fight\" has been done a million billion times before, but you clearly have some good writing skills that you should tap into for the next battle.

Sphinx, I love the way you drew and colored Pongo: he looks EPIC. I wish I could say the same for the rest of your fight, which I found very unsatisfying. I mean, sure, well-drawn action is nice, but without a story to give it meaning, it doesn\'t pack the right punch (pun intended).

I gave the fight to Ancelin for superior story and shiny colors.

Man Sphinx, so awesome art for Iggy, but then you drew Ancelin as if it was an afterthought!  Even so, Ancelin... the way you drew the fight was pretty lacking as well...

Overall though, pretty good guys, I liked that there was an actual story in Ancelin\'s, but I liked the fighting in Iggy\'s.

As long as there\'s a good reason for the delay, I\'m not uspet at all.

But still, I\'m anxious to see how it all turns out!  Thanks guys for taking care of those problems.
