After being turned into a Gorilla during his confrontation with Voodoo, Vac went on a rampage as a mindless animal. Later her regained the ability to speak, and with it his memories and powers. Unable to cope with the change to his body and thinking that the world would never accept him, he went on a quest to reverse the magic. He traveled the world for years meeting with and learning from the wisest magic practitioners. Vac was did not find a way to become human again, but in searching discovered much more about himself. Vac's new physical attributes in addition to his suction powers has made him a formidable foe. After years of travel, he has finally made his way back to the city in attempt to find more answers and rejoin society. Ironically, he soon realized that a talking gorilla doesn't stand out that much in the diverse population of void.
