Direlgan’s Bio

The Dreaded Ruler of Demons. Scourge of Cosmos. Razer of Foes. Many names he is given and a thousand times the names of those he’s taken. It is wise to lay down your arms and submit to his rule. Lest you become one of the countless victims of his conquest
Lore: Across the universe, few evoke such fear and dread as Direlgan. He is known by many names, Dragon, the Flame of Corruption, and the Demon Emperor. While his origins are shrouded in mystery, it is widely understood that he acts as a rogue force of destruction. Armed with immortality, power, and armies of aberrants, he has razed entire planets, dragging them back into the hellish dimension Direkósmos to further expand the realm. He sought to do the same to Earth, but a combination of our planet's stubborn refusal to submit and divine led to Direlgan's defeat. With a solar entity's sword impaling his chest and an arrow through his skull, Direlgan sits nailed to the very walls of his throne room in Direkósmos. And yet, through means beyond creation and comprehension, Direlgan and his three sons have descended into Void. The intentions of the Demon God are a mystery, but it is clear that conquest of Void is out of the question. So, it seems that Direlgan’s sole objective during his stay is to simply enjoy himself after enduring the ire of a separate pantheon. Abilities: Immortality: Direlgan is a true immortal being, with no absolute methods to bring about his true death that can be found in Void. Any damage that the Demon God sustains can be healed almost instantaneously depending on the level of injury. He is almost jovial about this fact and has been seen ripping his own head to prove he can. Wisdom and Intellect: As a creature who has been alive since the dawn of the universe, Direlgan has had eons to learn and grow through observation and experimentation. Through these experiences Direlgan has become immensely intelligent, allowing him to be able to develop complex strategies, plan out millennia long schemes, and intuit the mechanisms beyond any device or thwart any plans to kill him made by enemies. It is also for this reason that Direlgan is fascinated with anything that he does not recognize or is completely new to him, and will often obsess about learning about whatever currently intrigues him. Pain Tolerance: Direlgan, through untold millions of years of self harm, torture, and using himself as a test subject, has gained an unprecedented tolerance to pain and other physically traumatic stimuli. Physiology: As a being that exists outside any conventional biological or physiological norms, Direlgan lacks much of what can be considered normal for an organism to have. The only traits that the demon has in common with something like a human is a central nervous system, a circulatory system, a skeletal structure, and a musculature system. Aside from a heart in his chest, his ribs encase an eternal hellfire flame. This undying fire gives Direlgan endless stamina and endurance. In other words, Direlgan can never tire nor will he ever get strained as a result of prolonged activity. True Hellfire True Hellfire is a flame-like substance that Direlgan produces that erodes the physical universe. More specifically, True Hellfire is able to burn through any form of matter, ignoring all physical defenses and immunities so everything simply burns the same. There are two key limitations however, the first being that what True Hellfire burns is strictly tied to Direlgan’s will. An object set aflame could fizzle out without so much as leaving smoke or end up scorching into non-existence depending on if Direlgan wills it so. The other limitation is that Direlgan has trouble burning things that are explicitly outside his knowledge, as entities like outer-dimensional beings and creatures from other warped realities have been immune or resistant to a barrage of True Hellfire meant to incinerate. Despite these overwhelming strengths, Direlgan despises actually using True Hellfire in situations where it isn’t needed. This is because such a powerful ability would quickly sap the satisfaction out of anything Direlgan does if he abuses the power too much. As a result Direlgan actually using raw True Hellfire to solve a problem is something that rarely happens, with often him choosing to lose a fight or battle if the stakes aren’t high enough to warrant annihilating what he’s up against. Direlgan also refrains from using True Hellfire because it outright permanently erases objects and opponents from existence, thus removing something’s inherent potential in a way Direlgan abhors. Alchemy and Arcane Mastery: While Direlgan never uses True Hellfire in its simplest form, he prefers to twist the ability beyond its limitations for a sort of magic. Using arcane and alchemical symbols, Direlgan can augment True Hellfire for different purposes such as beams, bombs, melting objects, controlling ash, and on one occasion providing visual aids during a presentation. Monster Creation: In order to bring about his conquest of the universe, Direlgan has learned to create his own kaiju and monsters. This is done by using fragments of a life deity he slayed as well as the corpses and raw material of organic lifeforms and elements. By combining these materials in certain amounts and order, he is able to generate new and functioning kaiju that are completely loyal to him. While this is a time consuming process that must be done at a specific location, he has learned to create hordes of monsters from his own spilled blood. These monsters called Ichors are generally mindless and completely subject to Direlgan’s will, designed to complete a task before being vaporized upon its completion or if the blood that was used to create them has been regenerated. Direkósmos Direkósmos, the Realm Beyond Reason, is a dimension that mirrors our own where Direlgan resides. The location and the kaiju are intrinsically linked, with one being unable to exist without the other. It is only Direlgan and a select few of his pions that can successfully travel to and from the dimension. This allows them to use Direkósmos to travel from one location in the universe to another by using it almost like a stepping stone between portals. Direkósmos is inhospitable to most forms of life as breathable air is limited, any moisture or water is nonexistent, and there is some aspect of it that drives sentient minds insane The unfortunate few who learned of this aspect of Direkósmos described it as "infinite and finite, mirrored yet simultaneous" before succumbing to self-inflicted harm. Weapon Smithing One of the many hobbies that Direlgan has taken up to prevent him from becoming more insane is blacksmithing. His greatest achievement in this field is learning to harness the abilities and attributes of an organism and apply them to a weapon made from their parts. For example, if Direlgan slayed and harvests material from a lightning kaiju, he would then be able to craft a weapon that uses electricity for attacks. After eons of this method Direlgan has amassed a literal mountain of various weapons with each having a power or trait harvested from a felled opponent. But his absolute favorite weapon, one that he saves only for his most hated of adversaries, is an indestructible slab of a sword he calls “The Angel Cleaver”. It is Direlgan’s closest companion, constantly being remolded and reforged alongside its master. Spells and enchantments are woven into the cursed steel of the blade and one could swear the sword has a pulse, but those who witness it rarely live to tell about it. Cloak: It is said that Direlgan had wings, massive wings that blotted out the sun and carried him through alien skies raining hellfire on his opponents. But now, the Direlgan cloak. Some say that he once got bored of flight, and tore off and reforged his own skin and bone into it. But that is simply rumor and myth. What is known is that the cloak that Direlgan always wears is capable of regeneration, mending itself after any cut or tear is done to it.. Furthermore the cloak can reflect and guard against any projectile beam attack as well as negate any and all elemental attacks thrown at it.
