Calypso is the result of genetic experimentation, specifically with god and demon DNA. He was determined a failed experiment as a newborn, and fated to be discarded but the god and demon who lent their DNA to his creation worked together to save him. His demon parent did not survive, but his godly one did and raised Cal in secret.

He prefers to be called just 'Cal'

Likes: Bugs, eating bugs, Being independent, Pretending to be a bad boy, His dad, Shiny things, Books

Dislikes: His full name, Asking for help, Being weak, Beans

Personality: Stubborn and awkward. He doesn't understand much about the world but wants to be a bad boy so badly.

Weaknesses: Antennae and wings are very fragile. His wing covers protect his wings most of the time, but he is vulnerable whenever he flies. And his wings can be easily permanently damaged with a single nick to them. They also don't work while wet.

His antennae are very sensitive to touch and they amplify sound to him. If damaged he will be in a lot of pain.

Strengths: He can fly, he has heightened senses, he has sharp claws and teeth, and he has poisonous blood.

Other:

He is made up of two different insect species - The three banded ladybug, and the big dipper firefly

He is also part cat and purrs when happy

He likes his dad, but is often frustrated with how overprotective his dad tends to be

He is trans and gay

He wears a binder and takes T injections

He has a complicated relationship with his full name 'Calypso' due to the name's origin, but at the same time is attached to it

He wasn't able to play with any other kids growing up, so he spent a lot of time reading books and playing single player games

The Lord of the Rings is his favorite story

His blood is black

Here in Void he is mortal

About his alternate bug form:

- He can change into this form only for a limited time
- In this form he is weak and vulnerable due to being the size of a regular bug
- He is better at flying and hiding in this form
- He has the same abilities as his normal form in this form (Like the poisonous blood)
