Maoumi remembers very little of the time before he slew the dragon. It no longer concerns him. What is deemed important enough to recall is the time spent training one's body and soul in the ring, the roar of crowds as his success in ritual combat brought him greater wealth and fame, and his fateful bout at the height of his prowess against a dragon of the seas. For 3 days and 3 nights he wrestled with the serpent and bled its millenia of knowledge out from beneath its scaled hide. In its final breaths, the dragon dispensed to Maoumi its most accursed secret: that there is no true virtue but strength.
Spurred by this "wisdom" from the spiteful dragon, Maoumi withdrew from the public eye and devoted himself to the cultivation of strength. Under the tutelage of a hermit crab, Maoumi faced himself against the sea from which his powerful opponent originated. After years of reclusive training, flesh hardened by typhoons and sanded smooth by brine-filled winds, an effigy of a person returned. The ocean had eaten a man, and the dragon had known true revenge for its defeat.

Capabilities:
Incredibly durable, and a serious threat when close up and personal. Capable of manipulating water to certain degrees, and so soaked through that he is always slightly damp. It is very important not to fight Maoumi in water - this will end terribly.
Ineffective at ranges further than his physical reach, and willing to engage in conversation despite his obsession with strength. As his proficiency lies in a flat ring, fighting in a more open location with routes and obstacles to get in his way can give an important edge in a fight.
