Lucas LeDeux | Characters
Height: 5' 10"
Created: April 1st, 2021
Background: Lucas LeDeux was a kindly bookworm who worked as an assistant librarian until he was bitten around the 1900s. At first he was unsettled about his new predicament, but as the years went on he saw his immortality as an opportunity to absorb and preserve as much oral and cultural history as possible. To that, he's taken it upon himself to study obscure relics and learn oral traditions that written records would pass over.
After several decades of travel and media consumption, he gained the attention of the NDA and was offered a position as their evidence and lore researcher. Lucas gladly accepted, and has been a part of the organization ever since.
Personality: Lucas is quite pleasant to his peers despite his social awkwardness. He also enjoys watching human interaction from afar, taking note of different cultural tics depending on the group. He has a love for science fiction/fantasy literature which evolved into his love of "nerd culture", and when given the chance he will happily make references to obscure shows and serials during his research. Though he rarely wanders outside of his quarters/office unless absolutely necessary, he'll always be a gracious host to visitors that need his assistance and knowledge.
Note: His quarters will be decorated with a mishmash of antique trinkets and merchandise that display a century's worth of sci-fi/fantasy nerdom. It's a collection he's proud of.
Abilities: Does not display the superhuman speed or strength of a typical vampire due to rarely indulging in human blood, substituting animal blood sourced from the local butcher. Only benefits from not needing sleep and nocturnal vision, and standard vampire weaknesses apply (garlic, holy water, sunlight, etc.) On the occasion where he needs human blood, he ethically sources it from a blood bank.
