A living book created by a long dead thaumaturgist, name unknown.

Recently reanimated by the NDA under the project name 'Grimoire', which subsequently stuck as her proper name. She is capable of spellcasting. as well as acting as a conduit for rituals. Her spells require three to five seconds of hushed vocals and precise hand gestures before the spell is activated.

She knows the following incantations: 'Dart', a projectile of burning blue light capable of wounding assailants. 'Light', creates a point of light at any given spot within sixty feet or upon a surface. 'Figment', creates a silent illusion of a living thing or object. If anything touches it then the spell ends, otherwise it seems to last up to a minute.

Her construction remains a mystery to us. X-Ray and CT scans have revealed her body is comprised of a plant fibre and stone deposits. In the event she is damaged we have no means of repairing her; even the slightest mark will be permanent. For this reason we do not recommend field deployment unless it is absolutely necessary, or unless her safety and well-being can be guaranteed.


Personality
She has an upbeat attitude and a relentless drive for study; she makes for a fantastic academic assistant in any project.

When in social situations she will attempt to fill in the silences with random facts.

When left alone she will prioritise seeking out people to assist with whatever they're doing, no matter how mundane. If she can't find anyone she will peruse books in the library detailing ancient philosophies, christian mythology and cults, alchemy, and astrology. We theorise these may have been the fields of study her creator worked in.

In closing, she is exceptional in fulfilling any academic or administrative role and she may serve well in the field, provided no damage comes to her.
