"A Mild Mannered Occultist"

Benjamin Le Fay is a generally friendly, well dressed, well educated gentleman, who is also your neighborhood magus. His nature is fluid and paradoxical, right down to his name.

The eldest of three brothers, he comes from a long line of mystics, alchemists, and generally strange people, so magic and occultism are very normal and unthreatening to him. Unlike the rest of his family, Benjamin suffered a mysterious blockage for much of his life and has only started practicing magic again very recently after dropping out of law school. This mismatch of knowledge, experience, and skill combined with the upending of his life as he knew it leaves his practice inconsistent and risky, even self-destructive. After badly cursing the Caelum School of Law, he's run away to Void City, where he lives in a resident hotel.

Ben prefers men, but he has been known to cavort with eldritch horrors in the approximate shape of any gender.

He has a buddy cop relationship with Vespa Valencia.

He's trying very hard, but perhaps it is true what they say: "A poor magician is a poor magician."

Keep trying, Benjamin.
