Daisatsu Tanaka and Otori Genjo were the two most prolific warriors of their era many hundreds of years ago on the planet Takame. One a master of the Burning Arts and fire-based techniques, the other a master of the Liquid Arts and water-based techniques. It was on their seventeenth Day of Ascension that the course of their lives would be changed beyond their wildest dreams.

At this time, Sanchin, the Andromedian God of Chaos and his minions had become desperately oppressed with the purity of the Andromedian galaxy. The spirituality of the beings within it had grown to such a measure that only the strongest of his evil hordes remained. Sensing the peril of his situation, Sanchin struck a bargain with the Andromedian God of Time. Two men from the Andromedian galaxy could be transported to a time and place of his choosing.

Now Lord Nentaka, the mightiest ruler in all of Takame, had grown greedy and malicious through his conquests. Having bargained with Sanchin for aid in several decisive battles during his most critical military campaigns, he was greatly indebted to the evil deity. Tempting Daisatsu and Otori with worldly treasures, he caused them to compromise their purity and pervert their ritual ascension to the ultimate level of mastery in their respective spiritual disciplines.

Now, the two warriors have found themselves transported to an unfamiliar time and place, possessing only faded memories of their past and an insatiable hunger to destroy human souls. By infusing their bodies with the soul force of his two strongest supernatural warriors, Sanchin intends to cleanse the world of every creature with a spirit strong enough to oppose him, and rebuild his unholy empire more powerful than ever...
