A nice comic from you two! I dig Villain!Mary's look a lot and the parts with the gore were nicely drawn. I think page 15 is the coolest page out of the whole comic and the decision to rock the traditional look there was a great one. Truly an example of what happens when you fuck around with Mary - you find out, as Moth had the most unfortunate of learning. Page 12 where Mothraxia was attempting to mess around with Felix's circuits was pretty cool to see too and makes me wonder if there's any lasting effects messing around with the circuitry would have on the poor robot son....
There are some major gripes I did have however...
This may be just a personal nitpick but I felt the scenes within the meat horrors were a little...too clean. Like it reads more being in a red walled room instead of a flesh chamber. Playing around with the textures and even color discoloration would've benefitted in having the characters feel like they're surrounded by meat than paint.
Your compositions are a bit lacking. There's some panels I feel have a lot of negative space between the characters and backgrounds that could be more utilized in having more focus on what's going on in the foreground. More emphasis. An example of such is the first panel of page 13 that I feel could've benefitted on giving Felix a bit more attention like showing what the tendrils are doing to him or how much damage its giving him to further add more to Mary's reaction. Because of this, I would say this might be why I feel certain scenes don't hit as much as I feel they should've.
As nice as the story was, it didn't hit me as much as your opponents. I can't describe what is it exactly but the closest I can say is it felt underwhelming, particularly the whole reveal of Mary being a former ARMA villain. While the reveal felt more hardhitting in the other comic as Mary reacts being confront with the horrible reminder of her actions as an reformed villain, here it feels a bit like a throwaway comment. Having Satraxia and Moth be former defenders was an interesting idea and could've gave way for some potential drama for either side but aside from that moment with Moth and Maria in Headspace, I felt nothing else really came out of that reveal plot pit. There's a lot of neat ideas being presented here but not really a WOW out of me.
Despite everything, that was a nice read from you guys! Always love seeing the robot son running around having fun and Mary's an interesting character. I'm more curious on getting to know more of her outside the tournament when she's not trying to be a super hero.

Fantastic! Frankly, I didn't expect you guys to be the ones delivering the goriest scenes, but I certainly do not regret it. It really comes like a gut punch when preceded by all the clean and cute aesthetics of the characters, and it fits well with Mary Sue's themes. I'd probably be repeating myself about how you manage to render the expressiveness of Felix, but the nuance that I want to point out is that, from your comics, you can really feel the full spectrum of his emotions, how he shifts slowly at the start.
I also really dig the way you portrayed Moth, especially how she "wraps" around the memory of Felix the same way she wraps around Satraxia and the city. Don't know how intentional the symbolism was there or if I am reading too much into it, but at least I know it took me a second reading to properly notice and appreciate it, coincidental or not.

Amazing work. I already expressed how much I love the way you infuse depth through your colors from the last round, but this comic still managed to surprise me. The subtle difference in Mary's pencil strokes is a really fine detail to her character, and I like how some of the background stretched and faded beyond the panel borders. It really makes the whole scene feel larger and grounded, with subsequent panels giving the vibe of a smooth flow of action inside that scene, rather than choppy separate snapshots.
I also found it impressive how expressive you managed to make Felix out to be, especially by giving him a pencil and post-it notes. I always like to see little funny and cheerful details in my body horror.
Great comic as expected from this duo! Didn't get to say this last round but I really dig how well your two's styles mesh with each other. Gives off a really unique vibe and helps with Mary's design stand out as the anomaly in this timeline. Your usage of color is great here, saving the more vibrant colors for the villain!Mary scenes. Really adds to the intensity of the fight scenes and just how outworldly Mary is compared to the rest of the world. I do appreciate the extra effort y'all put into your bgs with the meat horror looking like actual flesh rooms inside of a simple red walled room. The slight gradients and extra detail to veins and texture, and everything. Sometimes it's the small details that add alot.
Writing wise, I enjoyed it for the most part. The small light hearted parts with Robo-Ancelin and the superhero duo were fun to watch and I was only prepared for a portion of the drama y'all had cooking in this comic. The reveal of Mary Sue being a former villain character was something I saw coming but I was more hit more with Felix still trying to save her at the one in despite of it and who feeble his attempts really were at the end as Mothaxia gave their whole speech to the masses. Feels like such a bleak end for the child heroes but I was so enamored by what Mothaxia was saying, I was almost willing to forget the two still beat up two younglings as a message to everyone that even YOU have the power to change the world into your image. An oddly inspiring message that carries a more ominous feeling here after the whole story. Is that not what Mary did herself after all? Nevertheless, it makes me interested to see what you guys got going for the Mothaxia duo in the future should you decide to do more stuff with them. It's nice to see these gals making shit worse for everyone around them :)

I’ve been sitting with this 2nd round for a while now, and honestly, a quick initial reaction could never do justice to the sheer scale of what Techno and Redsky have achieved here. Looking back at the entire trajectory of this story from the quiet, foundational moment with the cat in the prologue, through the jarring reality check of the VCPD/TL Regi incident in Round 1, all the way to this visceral, fleshy nightmare of a final round.. the emotional payoff is nothing short of breathtaking. With how exhausting and cynical the world can feel right now, Felix’s character has genuinely been a huge personal inspiration to me. He embodies a type of heroism that doesn't care about power scaling or looking flawless.. his heroism is defined by pure, unyielding kindness and determination. Seeing the climax play out brought a massive realization that I think defines their entire dynamic: Felix didn't just rescue Mary from the immediate threat of Satraxia and Moth. He saved Adrianna from her own internal darkness.
When Mary was spiraling into the horrific trauma of her Krysys past, facing the terror that she was inherently a monster, Felix just threw himself into the line of fire.. That act fanned the flames of her heart, reminding her of who she wants to be. Words really can’t describe the feelings I got seeing Felix grab Mary and look back at her. It's a beautiful parallel to Mary doing the exact same for him at the very beginning of their journey. It’s a perfect full-circle.. When he hugged her at the end and she thanked him for saving her, it brought genuine tears to my eyes.
A massive, huge props DoeFr and Footini for the direction on the event! exploring the heavy radical route of dismantling the corrupt regime to build a new order where children don't have to carry the weight of the world is a brilliant perspective. Yet even alongside that massive systemic narrative, the intimate spirit of Techno and Redsky's story is what completely resonated with me. As someone with massive empathy, seeing these two kids, who have been chewed up by systems that failed them, still choose to simply stay by each other’s side brought so much genuine hope to my heart.. Thank you both for this amazing storytelling, everyone..

DOE & Foot - this was a roller coaster read, I wasn't expecting these twists, and some of these cameos ( I had to look up pinn) I do what wanna know what the future lies ahead after moth and satraxia's latest antics, great job.
TECHNO & Redsky -- its interesting to
see gore from such a cuter art style, a bold choice which I didn't see coming but it worked nonetheless and so did my curiosity on this missing arma 2023 event, good job both of ya.

The whole story felt wonderfully dramatic too - Mary's slow transition to Krysys is probably my favorite part, especially because of how it starts. Her standing in the middle of her own flames, about to go on this massive downward spiral, but still looking back at Felix with a smile and a small "hey?" AAAAAUGHGHHHHH
There were several small details I loved throughout this as well, like Felix pulling at random parts of himself once it starts hitting him that he might not be able to save Mary. (On a lighter note, Saal trying to act as one of the reporters on page 3 genuinely caught me off guard, lmao.)
Overall, amazing work!! Loved every minute of it!!!
Absolutely fantastic story progression, I enjoyed the lineart and the variation of styles. Mary Sue being so "out of place" for her aesthetic is fascinating and I enjoy everyone's take on it! What an awesome storyline, and what a great ending for Felix and Mary!

Holy SHIT. THIS WAS PHENOMENAL. Doe and Footini, y'all knocked this shit out of the park!! The colors, the lines, the dialog, GODDAMN. I loved every moment of this comic, and it's awesome seeing such a cool combination like MothTraxia in action. A combo I never knew I needed and I got to see even MORE of it!
The alternate history/universe tidbit was very interesting but I feel like it was distracting me too much from the primary story because I wanted immediate answers and that wasn't there sadly. Regardless, this one is stronger than your first, your really punched up a lot of visuals! Power if love wins against deranged toxic yuri (the band I'm going to form and then disband in one months slime).
