ItizJR: Stellar work! I absolutely love how wild and loose your style here is, combining together so many different elements to create an absolute feast for the eyes.
Thewkhangbon: You did really great as well! I loved watching him demonstrate some of his abilities in battle. Your clean lineart and flat colors are just so pleasing to the eye, too!
Thanks for the challenge! This was an extremely close battle. And thanks to everybody who voted and left a comment! Now time to take what I've learned and move on to the next project!
I really thought that Floro punching Thewkang after he offered his hand in friendship was funny, thank you for the laugh. I like how even though you don't draw the eyes of the characters you draw that they are still so expressive, it makes for an interesting style. The colors are minimalist and for the most part look great; there are sometimes that I wish there was a little bit of texture (like on the thorns, vines, and flowers), or just a teensy more detail on them. Nice work on your comic!
Really interesting style for this match! It kind of reminds me a bit of Undertale when you fight Flowey and parts of it look like magazine cut outs. The experimental style really works with the scratchy text, and even though some of it needed a reread from me, it wasn't something that detracted from the comic, it seemed completely natural. The only thing that seemed like it could use some work was that some events were confusing, and I think that is due to a lack of backgrounds. Otherwise, really fun comic!
Both had beautiful art in completely opposing ends- it was a very cool matchup!
ItizJR- I am floored by how experimental and appealing your round was here. I am in love with the visuals you used. It's grungey and "messy" in such a cool way that scratches something in the back of my brain and is incredibly pleasant to see. Greatly enjoyed the look, it's gorgeous. I also really appreciate you seeking in-depth critique! And even if some events were a little hard to follow, it fit the chaos perfectly. Wonderful comic
ThewkhangKbon- Your art style is very graphic, clean and polished. And even if the backgrounds are minimal, it fits the colors and lines beautifully.
This one was an interesting bit of experimenting you were doing, my eyes personally felt a bit unfocused at times, so I think it could use a little bit of adjusting for clarity as otherwise it's a good blend of traditional mediums and digital effects.
Big fan of the traditional style and the trippy vibe I'm feeling here. Rough and confusing to read a bit but it adds more to the outlandish nature that is the giant plant monster. Reading your comment on Thewkhang's comic about wanting your comics to emulate the experience of listening to a song, I can see it in the way how Floro's thought processes play out. I think my favorite panel is the last one on page 3, alongside the imagery of the mushroom sprouting and spores. Really adds to the ~intoxicating~ feeling.
A nice first comic for Floro! Hope to see the monster again in future comics :)
You've got a good sense of action going on. Very fun to see the fight play out. I chuckled a bit at Thewkhang being able to understand Floro's growls haha I like how there's more meat to the comic's plot compared to the brief scenes we got from previous comics. Keep it up!

Great job! You had some really great panels and action shots in here (that majestic one where he's flipping over Floro sticks out in my head). I find it funny we both started off with plastering our characters name on the first page for some reason. You really have a certain vibe going with your story and style that feels unique on void right now. Looking forward to seeing your future battles! Oh, and that's awesome you say that about my comic sounding like a song as that's been somewhat a goal of mine recently to try and make my end product closer to the experience of listening to a song!

YO MAN! Such intense battle! Yeah, the young gardener isn't ready to face off against the stylish hulking beast that is Floro! Your words play off as if they were song lyrics! I also like how you illustrate Thewkhang throwing a seed and see it grows!
Man, talk about the perfect match up lol this was so fun to read especially with your styles both being so distinct and basically the opposite of each other.

Congratulations Itizjr-san!
Thank you for being my first real opponent, it was a fun experience learning how this place works

These comics felt very evenly matched!
Thewkhang love the action poses and how he announces his moves like an anime protag! I hope he's ok at the end lol
ItizJR great style, you really sold me on Floro's character and point of view. Intoxicating!
Cool stuff! I liked you left open the ending to see if Floro would help K'Bon in the future.
Kinda confused with what's going on but cool action and character gestures.
