King and General Bo Lee Alley vs Dekkard

Yeah if that's what you were going for then it would have been a good idea to establish why he's talking to Bo in particular, because even by that logic, it feels like a Longshot to just start talking about an assassination order to just random strangers in a bar. Those first few pages probably would have been better served with dekkard inquiring about information, like the wherabouts of his contact, Bo having it, and Maybe talking a bit about how Bo knows the contact, instead of just expositing about the target. Like maybe your Podcaster is an avid bowler and so naturally Bo would have run into him at some point through their shared hobby. Ths change wpuld.make the dynamic between the two characters clear, as well as establish why Bo Lee is the particular person to talk to, as well as move the overarching plot forward because now dekkard has a lead. There's plenty of time to build up the villain of your plotline later

I probably should have established this better but Bo's been in void for longer than Dekkard and thus has a better layout of the city and its denizens.

It'd have been funny if there were more background randos in the alley, because I felt like there'd be more room for laughs personally. Good comic.

I think Jelly covered most of my thoughts critiquewise. I think it was pretty clever of Dekkard to use Bo's head to fight off the mooks. Funny. I wish it was a bit longer and not a cliffhanger personally. Good on you for getting 8 pages out.

This one is a bit more toned back than your usual style, but it works for this particular match-up. Its got the right amount of humor to be a pizza man comic while still feeling fitting for dekkards more serious and straight laced character

The bit where he uses the head is good but it mostly seems like this is a comic idea ypu had to further dekkards storyline and things would have played out similarly regardless of who was in the battle. Bo Lee's primary purpose in this comic seems to primarily be a tool for delivering exposition, and he's just been used to.fill an empty slot in an existing idea,

Regarding the orientation of your speech bubbles, I'd say the right to left thing is a much smaller issue than vertical placement. When one speech bubnle.is placed above another, that's typically the one that will be read first, regardless of it its on the left or the right. And that fucked me up several times when reading this comic. As for the comic itself, we had decent setup but it feels like it ended right as the actual plotline was getting started. The amount of actual plot development feels pretty minimal considering its an 8 page comic. Like we don't know who has attacked bo and Dekkard, or why they attacked, which isn't a major issue, especially if its gonna be expanded on later. But also we don't know what the relationship between dekkard and Bo is, either. It seems like they just met in a bar, but if so, then why is Deckard giving a stranger details about his mission? Does he just tell everyone? Does Bo have particular information that dekkard needs to fulfill his mission? We the reader are not given much information. Ultimately it feels like Bo is there because the rules said he has to be. The bit where Deckard kills the henchmen using Bo's ability is good
