BADGER
Really really loved this one. The artwork in this battle comic is so impressive!! You've nailed the lighting effects, they add so much depth to the panels and complement the mood you set super well. The perspective shots and angles you've chosen... man, they just draw u right into the action. But what's got me on the edge of my seat is the ending, I'm absolutely itching to see where Julian's story leads from here. Keep up the great work :000

Awesome stuff! There really is such a palpable energy in your lines, every panel is imbued with some great dynamic compositions. The action sequences are super well-choreographed, each movement flowing seamlessly into the next, making it a breeze to follow. And wowee Grayson - what a badass character! The way you've wrote him, with that gruffness that contrasted Julian's more curious and "open" personality. Was great to watch!! The action sequence from pages 4-10 were just insane!
JAYSUS. These were both QUALITY!! I can't believe you two! I love both these characters so much!!
Badger: as usual your colours blow me away. They really added to the storytelling! Excellent art, dynamic action, incredible expressions- I don't have a single crit, stellar work. Also you made Grayson really handsome AND a werewolf so now I have to marry him.
Jelly: I LOVE your hard pencils, they add a lot of depth! Great detail in your backgrounds, especially that first page! And those monster designs? Fuckin SICK! This was awesome work! So is Grayson single or
Badger: Everything about your comic tickled my brain in happy ways, but I especially want to celebrate how tasty your colors are and how good you are at contrast and focal points! The composition of each panel and of each page as a whole is masterfully done! Gonna print this comic out so I can eat it and absorb its might 😋
Jelly: God your art is always so nice! Love your eye for composition and contrast and how nice everything looked even not completely finished. I hope we get to battle in the future!!!
Badger: Crazy quality here, LOVED the transformations, the expressions, the EVERYTHING! Good job Badger!
Jelly: I love your style dude, comic was full readable even if it was sketchy, great transformations and plot. Awesome job Jelly!
Badger: The quality of this comic is phenomenal and also I'm astounded by how willing you were to mess up Julian something fierce haha. Very cool and I loved the tree too.
Jelly: Yo. You didn't get to finish polishing this but the quality was still astounding, even in the face of all your other cool unfinished comics. I loved the monster menacing Julian and Grayson.
I loved both of your rounds! It's gonna be hard making this vote.
Highlights from both:
Badger: The tree was so cool! especially how you represented it talking. Grayson Wolf's merciless attitude was also really neat.
Jelly: I really loved the giant monster design! and Julian's cryptid hunter "I believe monsters are real even if nobody else does" vibes going up against the fact that they really are just real and accepted in Void City was hilarious. Just the whole thing with the werewolves. Loved that.
Both of your comics were super super high quality, and I'm blown away by the quality both of you pulled for a 2 weeker.
Raptor: Your comic had a very gritty feel to the sketchyness that I always adore, I love the gritty messy look It can give to a fight like you portrayed.
Badger: I'm in awe at the full color and overall polish you had in yours! While Raptor's had a sense of grit in the sketchiness, you really made a whimsical otherworldly vibe to your aesthetic that really fit the location of the battle.
I love the different approaches to how these two interact in each comic aswell, as a quick aside. Good show both of you!
Holy shit badger this is so good. You fit in a lot of the stuff I wanted more of in my own comic, like the transformations are portrayed better and a lot more of Julian's reaction to the situation. I get that with the concept of the tournament there's only so many ways to do a battle.line this but even so it's amazing how similar our ideas were, haha
