You Guys did well for the time you were given.
Lord Drakkon:
I like the set up and the backgrounds were pretty good. Hopefully we can see more in the near future!
Marrionbrerypi:
I like the tones of blues you used and the combination of the Gutters being a photo of a notebook and the digital colors are pretty cool
These were fun reads and I hope to see more of these two characters in the near future!
Drakkon:
unfortunate timing. At least you provided your dog with comfort he can appreciate in his final moments.
Marrion:
I like the plot dynamic! And i love to see this little creature scale up and down trees.
Lorddrakkon: What program are you using? I highly recommend Procreate. It’s inexpensive, has pretty much everything you could want for making comics, has a very intuitive interface, and best of all, auto saves your work after every brush stroke, so there’s almost no chance you’ll lose progress. Just be sure you’ve got cloud sync on.
Don’t be discouraged, man, onto the next opponent!
Marrionberry: the raw photos and last-minute application of “day for night” color didn’t do your sketches any service. You’ve got a fully laid out comic here, though, so while I know it’s cliche to say “I hope you finish this” and believe me, I know it’s easy to say you’ll do it, but the fire goes out as soon as the clock strikes twelve— but I really think finishing this before you move on would do wonders for your confidence (or maybe you’re brimming with self confidence and I’m just projecting!)
At any rate, maybe don’t use any of these fonts again.
And most importantly— keep battling!
LORDDRAKKON - Sorry to hear about your circumstances...I hope you feel better soon and pursue this project again if you so desire! This was still a super cool build up (loved the ominous 3rd page with Lizzie's face in the dark) and great work for a first-time digital comic.
MARRIONBERRYPIE - Lizzie's little expressions and mannerisms all throughout your comic are SO endearing!!! She has that perfect balance of being extremely huggable and creepy at the same time. Love her and hope to see more.
draken, you show some good potential here! keep on truckin if it pleases you :3
Marrion, it'd be nice to see you take some of my suggestions to heart from our voice call a couple weeks ago. interesting layouts here, anyway, and a good story concept
My condolences to you for your troubles Drakkon, I hope you have better luck in the immediate future with your comics.
Marrion: I hope to see you do more stuff with Lizzie.
Lorddrakkon - The hook here is interesting, and I would've loved to see how this story went. Sorry to hear life got in the way so much for you, but hopefully We'll get to see what the intended story was like.
Marrionberrypi - As always, Lizzie proves to be a joy to watch in terms of interacting with her foes. The premise of the comic is a nice change of pace, showing some more human parts of the local child in the forest. Can't wait to see more!
A little back story about this incomplete, I was already done and it was my first digital attemp. Right before export my iPad died and it took me so long to get it back up and once that happened everything I did was not saved. At an attempt to redo it right before deadline, my dog died as I was carrying him back home. It took a toll on me since I had this puppy since he was born and from there it took so long to make sure we said goodbye and send him on his way to be with his dad. I was such a mess that u couldn't even proceed past this point so I gave what I had. My hope is that with my opponents permission I can redo and finish this the way I intended it so that I can get a proper representation of my work on here for all of you. I'm in no way making excuses for this blunder I am telling you the events that can keep someone from doing what they can
