RENE ART MODE- Man, those backgrounds. For the bulk of this comic, these folks were living in white space. I still don't know how we went from the interior of what I assume is the restaurant, to the outside, then down the street? Definitely show some love to the world your characters are tromping around in. Especially if your tale focuses on a street brawl where the environment would've really enhanced the look of this fight. Impact against a brick wall, hitting a fire hydrant so it geysrers, tearing p the asphalt itself are all great ways to make your hero look like he packs a wallop instead of just tapping the bad guy with some electricity. Definitely a good effort all things considered, but I gotta tell you, I wasn't all too invested in the stakes here. VIDEO- Boo for technical difficulties, but I am loving this tend of guerilla comicking that's been going on lately. Death before default indeed! It was a short sweet interaction, and really that's fine by me. Definitely hope to see what you would've come at your opponent with once your computer comes back to life.

rene.art.mode: Welcome back! You need alot of work with your background, they'll actually be more interesting if you drew them by hand instead of relying entirely on the line tool. If anything, use the line tool on a separate layer and then trace over on the proper layer for a hand-drawn look. I noticed in the last page, Discharge's sleeves disappeared from panel to panel, watch out! Video320: Sad to hear about what happened but great that you nutted up and delivered a comic anyway, better than a default. Hope to see more from you rene.art.mode and hope your computer woes vanish Video320!

rene: Only in VOID would that pass as a "neighborhood cat" lol. That totally cracked me up. I can tell you're paying attention to the advice you've received so far, so keep it up! Make sure to be smart about your line widths; usually you want to use thicker lines for closer stuff and thinner lines for stuff that's farther away, so keep that in mind. And of course, I'll echo what others have said about your backgrounds feeling empty. Don't be afraid to cut out 75% of the story if it gives you more time to develop the remaining 25% really well. Sometimes a story is actually better with fewer plot details, and adding visual details will keep your readers' interest more, so it's a win-win. Other than that, I'm glad you came back to fight again, and I hope you keep going! Video: Sorry about the site being weird on mobile. I've tried to make some fixes, but it's clearly not 100% yet. And then I keep getting in comic battles and don't have time for site work... It's a hard-knock life for me hahah. I'm sorry you got fucked over by your computer, and I hope we get to see your comic soon (and you get your workstation back!). I actually really enjoyed seeing your pencil work, though, and I love the way you drew Discharge. The story was unexpected and cute, and I'm glad you were able to at least submit something. Hope to see you back in action soon!

Too bad you had technical difficulties, Video. Though, you should really consider downloading Procreate or something (it's on iPad, I think it should be on iPhone as well... not sure), but it would've at least allowed you to arrange the images into an actual comic page, and adjusted the contrast levels.

video- I hope you can get your comic up! rene- the world is so empty, I'd really like to see more attention paid to the backgrounds! there's a lot you can do for the settings- restaurants can be busy and cluttered inside, the street outside could have cars, pedestrians, street vendors, etc. also stick with anti-aliasing all of your speech bubbles, the pixelated ones really stand out. good to see you back, hope we see more from you!

So, I cannot get my computer to turn on. Keeping me from uploading anything I've done. Rene, I am very sorry. I'll upload my half when I get the thing working again. For now, maybe I can jerryrig something silly using my phone just to keep from defaulting. I dunno, this sucks. Entervoid on mobile is kinda weird. Sorry.
