Thanks for the critiques, guys. Now I had no problem with the Game Boy color scheme myself. I only use that scheme just so I can separate the Monster Battle panels from the fully-colored real world panels; that and to challenge myself to draw the comic (well....most of it) using only four colors. I also realized while working on this that there are only a few panels in the whole comic that take place in the real world, while the rest are in the Game Boy world. I wanted to put more real-world panels in there just to balance this, but I would have to change the script in order for this to happen, and because I like the script the way it was, I didn't want to change a well-put-together script just for the sake of several panels.
Overall, I enjoyed working on this comic. And because of that, I might do more Void Monster comics in the future. If that were to happen, they will be in full color instead of Game Boy colors, since the comics will take place entirely in the game world, so the real world panels will be absent in these, therefore there's no need to do four colors of green. That and detailed backgrounds would be easier to do without worrying about coloring the background the same color as the foreground.
I'm sorry you couldn't give it your all, Red. I kind of feel bad for myself for submitting the challenge during the Devil's Three-Way battle and NYCC now ;_;
But either way, you're comic was still enjoyable. I loved TL Bot in the last two pages and I loved how you kept Dolly's passion for the Twilight Saga in this. I hope you see more from you when you recover.

I'm so totally into the green pages too, I thought it was a really clever color scheme, and it totally brought me back to playing Pokemon Red on the schoolbus. I think the real world panels kinda clashed with them a little, like you didn't really consider if those colours looked nice with all the greens.
Still, that little thing is like the only critical thing I can say, because you're just the best. Everything about your characters and your line-art is so confident and filled with action and emotion. Every inch of your art just oozes charm. Maaaaan, I wish I could draw characters like you, you make it look so easy and perfect. I'm just strait up vomiting in jealousy over here. I hate that this post just sounds sort of like non-specific fan-girling, but I'm really just in love dude. You're like one of my favorite artists on the site.

I know you got hardcore knocked by fight fatigue and the deadline dude, so there's not a lot for me to critique quality wise that'd be super helpful. Your colour choices are really lovely though, and it's crazy that even with the deadline bearing down on you, you still sprung for such a great palette.

JACKSTER- Y'know, I actually dug the green pages. think it served its purpose as I felt I was in the game! Hearing the 8-bit battle music! Cheering on those monsters as they battled! I can also take a cue from your inking. You're really not afraid to lay it on thick and bold when it comes to things that should stand out. There is no doubt your foreground elements are in front and bg elements are in the back. Exactly the amount of work I'd expect from a 5 weeker. you definitely showed this some love. It helps that Tl Bot is simply super adorable winning or losing!
RED- Red my love! My darling bubbuluh. I think you're a sassy knifeful of peanut butter that's finally spread herself too thin. I'm always down for your PB action, but your wonderfully numerous battles and schedule seemed to have crept up on you. Still, kudos to your effort. you could've just said 'screw it!' and defaulted, but you didn't. You fell down with a flourish and took your limitations and gave them a humorous twist. Like calling stores 'food!' and 'cats n' stuff'.
Take that richly deserved break and come back swingin'!

Red, even though you (understandably) couldn't give it your all, it's still a cute lil comic. I like the colors, though I wish there was a little more care in certain places, like the different colored tile and stuff.
well I said it before and it didn't pan out so I was reluctant to jinx the whole thing by correcting myself to say that THIS was what Month of the Dead was all about(not to diminish what Kozi n' Fish or leFred n Puzzle accomplished either).....and now I just sound like a Johnny-come-lately.

Red...even work that isn't your best is still better than most of the regular fare around here....however with limited time and regularly over extending yourself... you need to focus on being shorter and sweeter

Well Jackster that was a great comic with lots of neat cameos and references. Your lines are fluid, your characters expressive and your compositions are easy to follow. While I understand the coloring is a reference to the gameboy's original colors I'm a bit bothered by it's consistent use throughout the comic. I feel that the lack of highlight or values hurts the art but otherwise super great comic.
Red, this is unfortunate. While an entertaining romp, your art here is understandably not up to snuff with your previous efforts. Dolly in particular seems hastily drawn and as we get closer to the end of the comic we see a lot more shortcuts in regards to background and such. Dolly lacks the expressiveness of her cartoon inspired background. Though this is a solid effort and a complete comic is better than none. Yet as always I do enjoy your coloring. It's incomplete here but the flats you use are easy and appealing to the eye. The final panel is my favorite though. Hope you come back later after your break with more cool comics.
Ahhhhh so I knew I was going to be kinda busy, so I planned a short comic. The first 2 weeks were eaten up by NYCC and my other MoTD battle. But then a bunch of unexpected stuff came up and cut my time waaaayyyy shorter. Stupid frustrating grown-up things. I wish I had more time to put into this because this is one of my dream match ups. But I did the best with the time I had and I'm glad that it happened! I wish I could have brought my A-Game for you, Jackster. Although you would have clobbered me either way ;D No more battles from me for a while now!

Almost didn't make it too. I got sick with something all of last week and didn't draw anything for two days because of it. I'm feeling much better right now, but still, last week was a pain in the ass for me.

Pressure is right.
Starting November, I'm going on vacation to Tennessee. Just tonight, I found out that we'll be leaving on the 31st of October. Now I could bring my laptop with me in order to finish this comic, but I'm fearing I won't be able to find a hot spot anywhere in the area I'm visiting in order to upload the comic here. So because of this, I'm trying my best to get this comic done and upload before the leave.
And I have approx. 15+ pages to do here. X_X
