Thank you all for your comments regarding my entry to this battle! I appreciate that you all liked what I was able to produce. It took me a while to actually start the damn thing, really. BUT, my next entry will be a Beyond Battle, filled with glorious(not really) coloring, and professional looking lines.

I would like to battle you again, sometime. Hopefully, we'll both be much better and can draw up a battle that all of VOID can recognize!
Well I'm submitting part one of my side today and will spend time on a secret project as well as part 2. Hope I do Leo some bit of justice by then.

I'll try to be more careful with my hatching in the future. I was rushing to ink it in four days lol

Zen: This was an awesome comic. Some detailed backgrounds. And I loved the panels with clear foreground like bottom right corner of page 10, and middle right of page 8. I'm excited to see what happens next.

You should be a little more careful with your hatching. The point of those lines is to describe the object underneath them, but your hatching often loops together at the ends, destroying that illusion. Make sure you pick your tool up off the page to make each line.
I like the handlettering way more than the font, but I think you could thin the lines of your letters a little bit to make them more readable.
Your attention to detail and personality in the setting is so so great, as is the strength and variety of your poses. I love the weightlifting pose, you can totally feel the tension and struggle in it. Awesome work dude!

Yeah, we get it that Ernesto didn't finish on time, but is anyone gonna mention that Tk's comic was awesome as hell?
I'll just slap myself in the face fore not commenting earlier-- But yeah! Zen, your comic was just amazing! I love Lucas' redesign. And Leena's subtle one too~ Shoot, I loved the way everyone was portrayed. And I see massive improvement with your buildings, as well as the comical panels. For example, I didn't notice at first, but in the first panel of page 7, I saw Lucas weight lifting teddy bears and I proceeded to bust out laughing. Your work is awesome, so keep it up!
Impressive work Zen!! I love the fluidity of your lines--lots of inky goodness. Very much enjoyed the workout montage--the nice poses and composition of each panel--especially the handstand panel. The subtle sweat drops on the kid sold the scene for me! Oh, and the buildings. The town was drawn with a lot of personality, and it felt very rustic and lived-in.
I sort of wasn't up on who all the characters were, as it's been a while since I reread your last comics, but Sonny's exposition was enough to fill me in a little bit. I will read up on it, and I definitely look forward to the next part of this saga. Great work!

Just uploaded my kawmick! I started super late due to a slump I was in, so I didn't exactly produce everything I wanted to... But, I think I did a smashing job for a comic that I kept changing a lot lol
Cool, I got work in a few hours till midnight so I'm scanning the pages I ended up doing. i'm pretty proud of it too.
Have you uploaded it already? I was trying to ask Angie to post the battle early if possible
