Gray vs Jules Saphir

Just as I expected. These were both amazing.

Bobo - yeah I've been drawing stuff funny lately, like a weird slump. I'll try and work on it. I'm glad you liked it. Kozi - Gray was easy to work with so if i did well it just shows great a character she is. The next comic I do with Jules will explain him, I hope i didn't hype it too much. LOWER YOUR STANDARDS. Animeshen - That really great. I think you draw Jules better than I do. The forgiving him at the end thing, leaving him to ponder his life? ALL THE YES! Plus, page 8 : last panel, "I'm tired of giving in" ! I loved that. Great stuff.

ah, thank you guys for your critiques! Sorry if it looks rushed- I am imperfect with a pen lol but I wanted to try. Video, wow we went two entirely different routes lol thats so fun! I love Jules in yours "you're dead? ...you sure?... lol okay then". you made Gray so perfectly sad and lonely, and I like the interesting hobby you gave her! And you draw her so cute! and that one panel where hes talking about the living and we see past!Jules and something is UP with that lol dude come on we need some backstory up in here you are killing us! It was a great read! Cant wait to see more from you!

VIDEO320- Whoooa, so Jules is a zombie? Or, a vampire zombie? And who created him? Argh, tell me things Video!! @_@ In either case getting to scratch away at the surface to learn just a little bit more of his back story is what keeps me coming back to reading your battles. I don't know why, but I think you handled Gray's character beautifully with the camera idea. It seems like something she'd do and to me, seems like you were really paying attention to your opponent and making sure the fighter shines in your side of battle. Your backgrounds were lacking in that a music store was a box with a sign that said 'music' and didn't seem to have much personality. Don't forget to show your environment love too! ANIMESHEN- I love love how you draw Jule's face. the wrinkles about the eyes and mouth really add to his character when he's angry. not to mention how interesting it is to see Gray so scared and spooked over danger despite being dead. By contrast she can still show sympathy and pity. It's almost like she's still holding on to those things that still make her human. your pacing was excellent too. Fast and tense where it needed to be and slowed up when Gray had her realization at the end. Beautiful job you two! Definitely the kind of comics I want to keep seeing!

Both great stories, for sure! Video, some of your dialogue and stuff felt a little contrived, but I think you're making some real progress in your storytelling for sure! It's awesome to see your progress. I don't have much specific to add, other than pinning down your anatomy a little. Some of the faces seemed stretched at weird angles and stuff. Shen... yeah, some of it seemed a little rough around the edges, but I LOVED the story. And your expressions were awesome! I could hear Jules's voice in my head as real as if I were watching a movie. Awesome job!

Wow! Both of those were such good stories. I love both Jules and Gray, so this is one of my favorite match ups. Video I think you could have put more detail into the backgrounds, but I do like the color and the story you went with was awesome. Some of the perspectives like the roads looked kind of weird. I don't know what was going on with gray's eyes on the last panel of page 4, but I had a good laugh. I liked the camera idea, and I'm excited for Jules vs Void City. Shen I loved it, but it seemed a little rushed and poorly drawn at times. The facial expressions still resonate, very fun faces! Good perspectives and use of black and white. Page 7 was kinda hot. First panel on page 13 was kind of weird to me. I don't know, just felt like it could be better, but overall yay!!!!!!!

Uploaded. Don't worry about having Jules out of character. You could have made him a fairy princess and I'd be cool with it. Grey was fun to work with, hopefully you'll like what I did. Thanks to you to for the fight!

alright I've uploaded mine. I went traditional on this one, though its been a while since I did a whole comic in pen. I hope Jules isn't too OOC.... hes a bit difficult to write, but a lot of fun to draw! Thank you for fighting me!~

I think I'm bias over seeing everyone's fav spooky clown win out, but Gray has quickly become a favorite as well. Really looking forward to this. :)
