VIDEO- You hooked me with that momentary flashback from Jules in happier times? Before he became what he became? Will we ever find out? the public wants to know! :D I know a week's deadline is rough, but I think the squeeze on time hit your quality a couple pegs. Your work was rougher than what I'm used to in your beyond battles.
MOUSE- I kept reading about your watercolors in the comments before I even clicked on your comic. Needless to say it definitely wasn't all hype. Really beautiful work. Not to mention an engaging and interesting concept on your fighters time travely abilities that kept me reading.
Video: I loved page 2. Tsumi as the flag girl made me laugh and the way the last panel is set up looks really nice. Something you could improve on is the line weight on the outside of your characters. The thick outlines look odd next to the super thin ones everywhere else. Try varying the line weight a little.
Mouse: Man, this looks great, page five in particular is damn gorgeous. While I like your font, it’s rather huge and kind of takes away from the art for me. Page 9 is a little iffy as well. All of that information in a few tiny panels was confusing to read at first. Really solid work overall, your colors are amazing.
video: im glad you took the previous critiques to heart because you have a much better constructed story this time around.
mouse: while that was a creative way to take out your opponent, I'm disappointed that merrick himself was not in the race...even when thats exactly what you signed up for.
Video320: I really like how we can sympathize with Jules here, how he's not just a killing machine, or how he decides not to kill Merrik at the end of the comic. It's nice how it flows into the flashback and pops back on the last page again!
Pocketmouse: Those watercolors are pretty awesome! It's cool to see some of the seedy goings-on behind the scenes at the race.
Video you really gotta work on those backgrounds.
Mouse just wow. Love the story, LOVE the watercolors. Great work as usual. Don't know how you pulled it off in a week. :D
