ironlion: what ROFL said - whoa action. I like the way you drew Mr Awesome (meaning I like ur style :>) and I liked the PETA thing ;P
Wolcik: I just can't stop totally loving delusions of Mr Awesome. I think you're doing them really really well and I love your ideas! Please never stop!
ironlion: Hey, welcome to the site. You've got a pretty good action sense going on, although your speed/action lines could use a little work. Having them float in midair like you have it on the first page is sort of weird looking. I also think not showing all of the deer weakens the impact of this page.
The munch munch slurp crunch sound effects are very bland looking. I would try to either write it yourself with some sort of gruesome detail to it or find a better font. There's a lot of free resources you can find, such as blambot.com. Also on that note, I would try avoiding changing fonts throughout the comic (except in the case of sound effects) since spoken word and thought shouldn't change to remain clear.
I like your usage of blacks, although you can push them more I bet. You seem to have a really good anatomy grasp, but isn't too consistent. Try to practice that out. You had a good thing going, although keep watch on not giving enough head space. Your eyes are a little high on Mr. Awesome on the last page, but that's also a foreshortening shot so that can be tough to rectify.
This fight was looking great and it's a shame it cut off at what feels very premature. This was a fun first fight and I hope you stick around on here.
Wolcik: I was surprised you didn't do anything with the VCPD subplot for this comic. It'll be kind of weird if you just drop it after 1 battle, but hey, I assume you'll do something to wrap it up.
You've managed to improve on your inks, but they still feel really disjointed and blobby rather than enhancing your forms. I would try looking at more examples of people you like and maybe see how they handle their solid blacks. I think you could have pushed your grays a little more with this fight, since you've given us only 2 tones and used sparingly. In the future, I would try to push these blacks and grays much more.
Your body anatomy is nearly solid, but you have this habit of scrunching your heads. Work a little on giving more head space so your people have brain-room. Your proportions are usually good though, if not elongated sometimes.
Good job though, I hope to see you battling again soon.
