Man oh man oh man, I really enjoyed reading both of those.
Dawgmastas- You're so freaking funny. I think the drawing style totally fit the humor. I look forward to your future battles.
@Will: My one pun must have been really forced. It turned into a lot of smaller forced puns and in(side?)jokes. I can't comment on personal taste, but simpler doesn't mean worse quality, and the only thing that might put some past battles over this is color.. and I had more time. I'd probably put this in my top 5 quality wise, and that's pretty nice for putting in half of the effort. Don't worry, though, if I ever have another battle on Void I'll add in some super saiyan mode sentai heroes with mechas just for you.
@Kent: I would love to collab sometime. I don't really have much spare time, though, so I don't really know how soon I could do it.
Well Dawg I'm sorry to say I was as interested in this battle as I have been in your prior comics. Even your last Void comic was much funnier and had better quality. I can say the same about HFB, but this battle just felt like a lot of forced puns and vaguer injokes than usual.
The problem I see with Mr. Kent's side is that it has an interesting premise but doesn't deliver. Sure it's marketed as being only a part of a whole, but the issue I see with being in a tourney, is that if you're going to do a multipart story you need a stronger punchline/climax if it's going to carry you into the next round, instead of the promise of something to come.
