Hm so my thoughts. Pong's entry was funny. C'mon anal beads. It's like the Nova battle in that sex toys play a central part of the humor. At the same time I can see people being grossed out by that. And the anchor bit. There's a lot of interesting things going on with color. But the backgrounds are a bit lacking, especially knowing that you are capable of producing some very awesome backgrounds. No I didn't vote low, in case you were asking.
Drastic's entry continues to have his same level of funny and maintains detaiiled backgrounds. Line work fizzled here and there but it's not so noticeable since it's rather consistent with the overall look of the comic. So...yay.
Well at least I know you liked the coloring.
But seriously, I'd like to hear somebody explain their low votes. Anybody got the balls to stand behind their opinion?

Ah the age old question. The (somewhat) unfortunate realization is grading is totally based on favoritism..to an extent.
Asking what's better is almost like asking why one's favorite food is better than any other. I personally like rough work and vibrant colors...but it's not promised everyone prefers it as well.
I didn't even get a 7 for quality?

Does this look like D grade art to somebody? Anybody care to come forward and say why they would give my comic a 6 in any grading category?
You guys just gave RTV a 7.1 for quality for a comic that was incompletely colored, and didn't even have the pencil erased from the art.

DF: Good shit yo. your writing always entertains the shit outta me..you can really press a joke. Say something enough times and eventually it becomes the most hilarious thing ever...the artwork was still solid even though it was done in a short time...I dig the brushy borders...I think that might be something I will use in the future...STOLEN!!! So homie...when is the DF vs AD comic coming out?
KP: Despite you being the biggest internet douche since....well ever...your artwork speaks for itself...good shit yo. You always present quality work...the story wasn't my cup of tea but wasn't poorly created. I think I enjoy a bit more clarity and less random shit....but I still laughed at the anal bead attack...

Pong, I like how you're able to stretch your opponents personalities to the limits. great job. Kinda simple start up though, I had no idea he was working in the studio.

It's like that mildly upset feeling you get when reading R. Crumb comics and you can't tell if he's trying to be sexy or funny.
I found the GVSR-coaster and "get a job" attack to be choice laughs :D
Beaded sex toy and anchor combo, though, I found more icky than funny :X S'got great colors, though.

NOTICE FOR EVERYONE: The drawing period for this battle will probably only last about one week and me and Pow are doing a max of 5 pages. I just put it as two weeks in case the school crunch put me back to far and I could have a few more days to fall back on.
