All right, with all the tough crits flying around, I really felt the need to just post up and say...Jack my man, this is far and wide the best piece of yours I have looked at on this site. You reeaally surprised me here, and I think even if you don't win, for me the vast improvements shown in your entry really make yours the shining star in this Brain Battle. I'm really looking forward to what you come up with for the future. Jho, Dawg, I think despite what's been said, I give you guys cred for putting together some nice n' readable 21 page entries in just two weeks. Sure, these weren't your best works, but I felt some good vibes reading through these. I see this whole event as just an opportunity you guys threw at yourselves for a challenge,, and as we all know, sometimes you're on the money and sometimes you're not. In any case, these entries still show off your skills and talents, and like with Jack, I'm looking forward to the next thing you guys come up with. And Lysol...man, I know sniffing your armpits can be addicting. I wish you luck on kicking that habit. All I can offer you are these three words of advice: \"PO-TA-TOES!\"

Jack, BIG improvement. Your arts getting alot better but the amount of white on your pages is distracting. Your story started off strongly but then kinda dissolved whch was a damn shame. Dawg, i wasnt too impressed to be honest, i mean it had the possibility to go somewhere but kinda didnt. Which yano is a shame since like your recent Jingles stuff has been some of the best shit ive seen from you Jho i liked the whole feel of your comic, was odd and chilled and though the drawing wasnt any way near the best ive seen form you it was still good. Sorry, but I'm with Zato on this one. For all the \"OMG BRAIN BATTLE\" that people were making a big deal out of, I would've expected at LEAST the two weeks worth of effort that were given. Writing-wise, of course Jho has the best entry, and I think Dawgmastas probably had the best quality. Entertainment-wise, they were all pretty \"meh\" for me. Nobody put their best effort into this, and it's like nobody even really cared. Lysol especially, since I've seen other finished work from you on dA. Ugh, I don't even feel like voting for this.

Dawg - Decent job, but your story lost me half way through. The humor didn't catch me very well either in this one. I thought your fight against powerz was much funnier. JJ - I love you, and I know you blazed through a lot of this, so I can see how it got sloppy in parts =P Its easily the strongest entry here. All of your depictions of your opponents felt very real. Your comics also have that awesome ability to pull people in. Can't wait to see the next part!!! Cog - I really like that you experimented with your perspective in parts. The fisheye buildings and such! Definitely your best drawn entry, and a solid story to boot. I think the redesign is fantastic also. lysol - i quote gabe on this. You didn't even draw your own stick figures you shouldn't even be getting my D-... seriously your friends have scanners, and doing text by hand isn't that hard. It was really disrespectful to your opponents who obviously put time into their battles. Shame shame

Dawg: Great battle! I was waiting for the conclusion to J-pop vs Whoa. Not as great as Part 1 (which I think is one of J-pop's best), but still strong. The end was hilarious! JJ: Yours is the strongest, I think. The characters really felt real (I love the tension between Cog and Konchuu-man), and the story and layout is just as strong as ever. I LOVE the last panel of page 6! Jack: Best Cog art yet, and as JJ said, fantastic writing. Lysol: At least you didn't default :)

Dawgmastas. This was really great. The story and the writing were EXCELLENT. Until about page 11. Then things went downhill. The first ten pages however, worked perfectly with each other. After the halfway point the plot seemed to come together haphazardly and jokes seemed to be simply derived from randomness - which was still pretty funny, but lacked the purposefulness of the previous pages. Konchuu-man's voice was hilarious. It's too bad you didn't finish coloring. J.J. Your writing was the best of anybody's in this group, but the circumstances just didn't seem to keep me entertained. J.J. just kind of shows up and and while a lot of pages go by not much happens. There's bit here 'n' there that funny, and entertaining but there were also some dead spots - very much like driving around with friends in real life at midnight (which is what your story reminds me of). J.J. kind of looks like Introvert without her glasses. The art was ok, but the coloring was really bleh. Not your best work obviously. Jack: You alsmost had a really awesome one here. The story was pretty decent, although its conclusion was abrupt and kind of lack luster. If you had cleaned up your art a little bit by adjusting levels, upping the contrast, etc. or coloring, your pages would have looked a whole lot better. And here's something interesting - my artwork is apparently influential on void now. Pretty decent comic, but your competition is pretty stiff. Lysol Jones: I have no idea what's going on here. Obviously the art is crap. Obviously the story is crap and makes no sense. But the thing is, I still laughed because it's funny as hell. You suck!

I saw the first peek of Lysol's entry over at the chatroom last night. He would have defaulted easily if the Council were to delete it as I've also heard. But I guess that didn't happen, so I won't bother anymore. Now then, after caring more and more less of this so-called \"Brain Battle\", I decided to just check out the entry's anyways. JJ's is possibly the best, in my opinion, in this entire fight. Even though Jho ended it in a cliffhanger and had a few spelling problems, her writing was strong in this one. So she gets my higher vote out of all of them. The rest did a good job as well (thanks Jack for the Nutty reference!). As for Lysol, he didn't bother trying.

upon further reading, jesus jack, I fucking love your entry. I envy your writing skill and your usage of words at times.. I actually LOVE your lineart, they're fucking awesome and very clear. definitely a keeper, and cog is a fucking badass. thanks for the badassery. dawg: haahahaha man, yours were the most finished, I applaud you.. I think the ending was hilariously gross *hack* ahhahah i like how you handled jj despite the insaneness. :) lysol: that, actually, made me fucking laugh. I know I shouldn't but I did. I am disappointed, but I laughed. maybe because I expected something like lineart at least, but you gave us stick figures, and I find the irony hilarious. but I know I shouldnt be laughing, I don't know anything anymore. as for me yeah sorry to let everyone down... :\\

Dawg: Oh god...hahaha...Your fights tend to be a bit on the spazzy side, but they always make me laugh and your art is steadily improving. Not your funniest fight, but you certainly didn't disappoint. Nice job. :) JJ: hehehe, such a cute fight. I'm sorry you didn't have time to finish, because this was looking really good. However, you still got my vote based upon your storytelling and the quality of your art. The brain is yours. Wolfboy: hahaha....oh lord...you know, in my opinion you had the best writing. If you had colored your battle and taken a little more time on the backgrounds, I would have given this fight to you. Man, for all the hype this battle was ringing up, this was a big letdown, except for JJ's entry which was a pleasant read. Dawg's entry just felt tasteless and blunt, like he just decided to draw 21 pages of people saying silly things without any real tact or method. At the very least in JJ's entry (and Cog's first two pages) the characters actually felt like they were acting naturally and acting as characters should, instead of just cranking out silly line after silly line. And Lysol, the biggest disappointment is that there's no option to give you an F. Votes go to JJ. It wasn't the best looking work she's done, but the writing was definately a breath of fresh air, and actually got me to laugh.

Pretty sweet guys and gal. Dawg: Nice fight dude, not as humorous as the fight with hugo (as I mentioned to you over AIM), but it was something that made me smile. I think you could put it a bit more backgrounds next time. Still a very strong showing on this fight. You're only second to JHO. Jho: Most awesome story, I loved how you used the fact that all 3 of them were sharing the same brain, and the same errection ;3 . However, artwise I know we've seen better from ya hun, and I really wish you had finished this cause out of all 3, you had the best story overall. My vote is for you. Wolfboy: Alot better looking than your last fight, but your backgrounds need a major overhaul. For one thing, not every building in the world is a box with the same style of windows all around, that's shitty. Mix it up! Theres signs on buildings, advertisements, gargoyles, Drapes, etc... Anything but that god awful uniform design you've got going for them. Aside from that, why do I feel like you only cameo or make referance to other fighters or members just to be insulting? Well, overall this is looking good, alot better than your last fight. Lysol: I'm honored to have killed gum in the most awesome way possible, now if only he'd accept the chalange I left him. Jho, I can't wait for your Beyond battle, but you gotta finish up Arma first!
