oh man this was fun, I wanna fight you two sometime!
I'll try some crit for youu
Mecid, I love trendy bat and emo walrus. those assholes. um some figures/poses look awkward, but damn you got backgrounds nailed, I'm jealous. those buildings and perspective waaugh amazingg. those coloured pages were pretty sharp too, props on those. ps is that a tiny finn cameo? :3
Sand, your colours were pretty as well, but again some awkward looking figures in a few places. the semi transparent speech bubbles prolly weren't the best choice, but I had no trouble reading them myself. the story left a little to be desired, but now I'm curious about Crawford's powers, ooh aah!
Mecid: Your comics have been, and always will be, the most amusing reads on this site -in my opinion- and it's not 'cause NB is part of the Good Guys, it's 'cause your timing and sense of humor are just perfect. I swear, your stories crack me up every time and are always a blast to read- and as always, I love your style. It's thick and bold, but not stiff. Very much fun all around and omg I love Nowhere Boy. ;3; Poor lanky bastard.
Sandpuppeteer: I personally thought this one was a little lacking story wise. I love your art and style, but it just seemed kinda... empty all around. The dialog was so-so and the fight felt very forced. Crawford's power is a little vague, but I still look forward to seeing what you do with it. In all- it was still a decent battle, just not up to par with what I've seen you pull off in the past. :3
Thanks for the amusing fight you two, this was awesome. <3
mecid: XD -insert face here- I do so love the humor in this comic. Crawford in the punch panel on page 9 seems a little stiff but I think Nowhere Boy's crumpled position makes up for it all the way. Wish it was all colored but you can't have everything. Very nice inking there. Backgrounds are great. Story-line is very entertaining. Excellent work.
sandpuppeteer: Pretty sweet coloring here. The tone it sets really matches Crawford's attitude. I thought it was a little strange that both their hair was the exact same shade of orange. . . but that's just nitpicking. I felt the story was a bit bland, but Crawford's new power picks up the slack. I really must say I can't think of anything else to criticize.
Fabulous comics you two.
Very good, from both of you!
Mecid: I love your battles. I think your backgrounds and perspective shots are just absolutely fantastic. <3 Your dialog was really hella fun, though I did notice a few typos here and there. (Our=/=Out) I wish you had been able to color it all, as the color pages were great. All in all, I enjoyed the match.
Sandy: I really am overly fond of Crawford, you do realize that, right? He's just... such a grumpy bear... <3 I loved the washed out water-color-ish coloring... but I HATED the hard-to-read washed out text bubbles and text. Aside from a few errors in the bubble direction, their placement was also a little odd. I think the only other suggestion would be to perhaps vary up your panels a bit to make it more.. interesting to the eye.
All in all... Fun! <3
Uploaded. Though only three pages colored cause I'm the slowest colorist in the world. I've been spoiled by the unlimited time provided by beyond battles.
