Shlug, your stuff is just...so charmingly magicial I can't even handle. To read it is even funner since you have such, I don't know, just interesting dialog. I really wanted more though, you left me hungry.
Nachte, your style is adorable, some scenes reminded of storybooks and others reminded me of some crazy apocalyptic comics, really fun to read. Something that maybe would have helped would be thicker lines though, a lot of the characters and background seemed to be on the same plane. But anyway, killer comic.
I've gotta say, my favorite part of these two works is definitely the stories. There's been so many comics going on where it either felt undeveloped or like I had to look twice to figure out what was going on, but both of these were done well and were enjoyable.
I liked the kind of crooked-styled lineart on BSLuGeth's version, only I'm not sure about the coloring... it all contributed to the kind of dirty feel I think the comic's supposed to have, only it seems like with some of the coloring it leaves the realm of intentionally wacky to get kind of sloppy. I think one of my favorite parts about this was actually the preview on the battle page. XD
Nachte, I think your work's still improving. This was one of your best stories with Mckenzie, and I think you really pulled off Angie Garbino pretty well. I would say what you want to work on is still some of the posing and proportion aspects: if you look at the \"Adventure Time\" panel of page 3, the lack of perspective on Mckenzie looks less comical and more like it wasn't thought out. Other than these select cases, I would say the figures all throughout are better than they have been in your earlier works.
BIBLE BLAST
Dear Slugs, you and so amazing I lack the numbers to count the ways! Please bring upon me a wonderful story of wonderousness.
Love, your mysterious friend from below you on the map.
Oh God further sweet battles from nowhere!
I look forward to it. I expect good things from both of you, since you've both been so top-notch in the past. And how can you not love incorporating God as a character in you comics? : D
