\"but I'm not sure if his switch from simple line art to shaded work was to denote the transition from the outside world and the monkey's inside world.\"
Yes it was, I've done that in a few battles now...
And Knomer, great fight. I really liked what you did with my character that a milion minutes line really got me.
This is a hard battle to vote on as they were both intrigueing.
On one hand I wish Robo's had stayed consistant, but I'm not sure if his switch from simple line art to shaded work was to denote the transition from the outside world and the monkey's inside world. I loved the dialogue though and the humor and the cliffhanger definately had me wanting to see more.
While I might have found the dialogue on Knomer's submission to be a touch on the dry side, and I wasn't entirely sure what was going on, the comic as a whole was consistant. I loved the action, and the expressions. You've got a good grasp on capturing motion. *envy*
Definately going to be hard to vote.
Aside from quality, this was a pretty close fight. I felt the creativity and entertainment to be almost equal on both sides, but Knomer had much better quality.
I found Robo's lettering a little sloppy and hard to read in some areas. Also, the perspective didn't always look right. And I know a lot of people use them, but flat one sided buildings in the distance with no sign of perspective on them are a complete cop-out in backgrounds, even if its used in a small area. The attention to detail was good though.
I did wish Knomer would put more backgrounds in his battle, but I did not have a hard time reading it without figuring out what was going on.
But in all, a good throw-down from both sides.
