Like with Bobo, this was one of the first comics I've ever read on VOID. And today, I still love it.
Fuudasha wrote Bad Apple so perfectly in his entry.
First comic I ever read on VOID. It's still awesome, and brings back all kinds of memories. I love the Estrella d'Muerte reference at the end of Fuudasha's. Makes me wonder who's supposed to take care of all the dead folks of VOID now?
I would also like to say, that this all fucking rocked, and I have one last hurrah planned for the apple before he vanishes to obscurity. I enjoyed the tourney and I hope you all did too. WATCH OUT FOR ME NEXT YEAR! ;)

Shame on me for seeing all the fights after the fact, but with only an hour to go, I've GOTTA chime in for this one!
Hiemie: excellent pacing and as always, funny as [insert epic-sized comparative figure.]
It would be a shame to see Bad Apple go, but if that's the way it is, he just went out with one [insert another epic measurement] of a show. More obscure celebrity cameos! More I say!
The constant flashbacks and Satan were just [insert not quite as epic but close adjective] hilarious. Too much man. Too much.
Fuudasha: Get a book and rock comics like a hurricane already, jeezus. Admittedly, I was with Apple in your comic, as the fight strayed to the two halves of Basil, but the ending tied it all up with plenty of surprises along the way. You have a way with story pacing and timing that has to be envied. That's what makes this fight hard as Hiemie's COMEDIC pacing is equally strong.
Basil, Bad Apple... the whole damn SDT... good stuff.
Man that was great. Hiemie that was brilliant with the wizard of oz sequence. and i even liked your Mr Owl 123. You definatly pushed yourself on that one i can tell. Fuu that was cinamatic as hell. Bad apples portrayal was perfectly on cue i thought. his acting just before he died really fucking sold me that you are probably one of the most gifted artists that has ever graced this site.

but with cames f my character in their i was so happy to see a very dead number 3 return just to get destroyed was awesome. and estrella in the ending... man we defenetly need t get our self a little batle gng on.. but i still dont have a pc. grea fights on both sides.

I cant say much more than this was the one of, if not the most epic Void fight ever. Way to push the fighting up a notch both of you. For me, even though Bad Apple's fight was hilarious and amazing, my scale tips towards Basil. Hes put more work into this tournament than anyone and his 9 pages were more like the work of 18. Well deserved to either of you whatever outcome though. Good luck!
This battle brought a tear to my eye. It is a DAMN SHAME that there can only be one winner of this!
Hiemie, your comic was just fucking loaded with jokes! You keep topping yourself each round and this time is no exception. That bit about the Nathan's hotdog champion really had me. The whole story had intrested with all of it's twists and such.
Fuu, while it ends with a cliffhanger it was very satifying on it's own! Art was just superb(sometimes things got alittle lost in a few panels though) and the story was excellent. I think you nailed Bad Apple's persona well also. I am extremely curious to see what all happens next.

Yep.. i see A games all around out here. niiiice. I'm very pleased at how the both of you threw down for this battle.
Sometimes Bad Apple's randomness throws me off.. like it's a bit too much.. but all in all the more i read the comic the more everything fit in true Hiemie fashion.
Despite this awesomeness though... I may have to give Basil my vote. The art quality and story here is awesome. Now i'm kinda afraid of Fuu's skills... but not *too* afraid. hehe..
NB: This is all a ploy to act nonchalant despite my realisation that they're both more awesome than me. This shall be followed by righteous indignation and later, insanity, which may result in me doing something silly like challenging one or both of them.
I really SHOULD interject again. Though Basil has truely turned into a crowd favorite, Hiemie DID bring his A-game to the table as well. I do have to say, though Basil's strip concentrated more on her personal conflict with Bad Apple as an after thought, that you were able to slide in more cameos in your strip. That's always HAWT (opinion)! It goes a long way to showing props towards that fighters that started this whole thing and helped to nurture it along the last couple of years.

I'm pretty happy with either result here as well, even though I craved a little more apple in your side of the fight, I kinda did the same thing with Basil in mine. Although the star of my fight was HOTDOG DAN anyway ;) I really like your representation of the apple, he's acting as he should. Excellent fight indeed. I do wish I coulda covered it. *Capri Sun*

OK! Who here could have possibly forsaw the resurrection of Number 3? Dramatic irony, indeed. I get the feeling that Fuudasha is trying to call out Ponbiki and take this shit to a whole new level. We haven't seen this kind of story development since James Warsaw declared himself mayor of the city and all the hijinxs that ensued from that fiasco.

I'm givin' it to Fuu mainly cause it just flowed better and storytelling-wise it's spot on. And that is one bad-ass bad apple.
I had a bit of trouble figuring out what was going on in yours, Hiem, BROTHA. But the stuff i did figure out was HILARIOUS.
Btw is that \"palpable hit\" thing from Asterix and Caesar's gift?
Thanks for bringing the heat Hihi, quite a way to have our first battle huh? Ah, if only page 7 were really the case, I'm sure we'd all be happier from that. Man, puttin' out for this tourney's been rough, but I'm glad I was able to stick it through for the final round. Yeah KP, I hear what yer saying, I felt kinda bad nudging the Apps to the side a bit, but I felt it's what I needed to do to accomplish what I wanted in the story while not having to bounce too much between the two char's styles. Ah, if only it wasn't a death match I'd say let's do it again! Whatever happens though, I know Bad Apple's a great character that can never be forgotten, and seein' Hiemie take it to the rim is proof that any victory here is well deserved. I gave my vote to Bad Apple. As well drawn as it is, the Basil comic just doesn't have enough interaction between the two characters that are supposed to be fighting, and seems to be a little bit too caught up in itself. Not that the story isn't entertaining, but it's just a bit of a letdown that two greatest SDT fighters had such limited interraction. (maybe my expectations were too high).
On the other hand, the Bad Apple comic, is thouroughly entertaining, and really delivers compared this character's previous entry. The quality is pretty good, though there's some pencil here and there...and I'll stop at that because you know what they say about people who live in glass houses. Anyway go Bad Apple! I enjoyed both, but the edge goes to Bad Apple by a gnat's whisker.

That was the most intense battle I've ever seen from either of you. Hiemie, the jokes were off the wall hilarious, and impossible not to give you an A in entertainment. It's nothing personal, but I gotta hand the win over to Fuu, if for sheer art skill alone. Fuu, you sure know your way around the jokes, and Bad Apple sounded dead on character. I can't wait to see what you do with Basil in the future, Armageddon maybe?!?!?!

Sweet tapdancing zombie Jesus Herbert Walker Christ on a pogo-stick! That rocked from both sides! Hiemie, your battle cracked me up the entire time, that has to be the most random comic I've ever read. And Fuudasha, you did an awesome job with Bad Apple, I was curious how you would handle a comedy character. Even though both of your battles rocked, I'm going for Fuu because of the awesome fight scenes and the art.
