Seeing the bugbear's foot get eaten up by the shadows gave Sovereign a bit of a shock. After a few seconds, she realises this is beyond her skills, and instead turns around and yells, "DOGBOY!"

Then, Sovereign turns back towards the room with her sword drawn and torch held high, carefully skirting the outer edge of the room towards Aaron.

Seeing Aaron somehow trip over himself onto the floor, Sovereign gives out an audible sigh. Walking forward with her torch held up in front of her, she says "Did you forget to wear your glasses again, you oversized gobli-"

Seeing nothing dangerous happening, Sovereign takes out a torch from her pack and lights it, holding it up as she goes to [Room 3].

Sovereign, upon seeing the commotion outside, goes instead to Ashen and asks, "Who is this now? One of your friends?" referring to the blue dragon-like lady outside.

From inside the room you can see that your side of the portal also appears to be a frame, its painted image gone dark save a few wisps of light. There are large curtains on this wall to cover the painting.

In the corner, unseen from the outside of the painting, sits a worn leather bag and unlit torch.

Sovereign points towards the bag and asks Ashen what's in it.

Seeing that everyone else so far have gone through without too much trouble, Sovereign steps forward and hesitantly lays a hand on the handprint on the painting, while the other maintains a firm grip on her sword.

On the other side, Sovereign ignores the scene that's happening and glances about the room, looking for anything interesting. Or dangerous.

Truman shoots a glare at Sovereign.

"The elf with the ponytail, the human with the eyepatch, and the tiefling with the holy symbol. Tell me you can actually recognize Queensmen when you see them."

"I don't walk with Queensmen. Not enough to know them by sight, like you seem to do," Sovereign shoots back a glare of her own at Truman while folding her arms together.

"Everyone, while we're in there, I want us asking questions first and shooting as a last resort. I don't want a repeat of the Offspring incident, is that clear?"

Quote from: Q-Bit

"Not if whatever's in there attacks us first!"

Why did it have to be snakes?

Yoshiko held up her half-gloved paw.

"Not yet, s'only seen'yenter s'all. If w'disappear, s'no reason f'them t'sspect anything! Just'sgotta wait f'..."

Her ears twitched, picking up the sound of small footsteps.

"Th' Lizard's ere!!!"

OOC: Yoshiko is also going to look around the room for stuff to grab with her nimble paws on the way out if we're leaving.

"Oh, it's just the lizard," Sovereign relaxes her grip. "Wait, what do you mean they saw me enter? I wasn't followed when I came in here."

Out of a fit of frustration the Kobold began to repeatedly bang on the walls in a desperate attempt to gain his team's attention, oblivious to the standards a library so dearly holds.

Hearing the sudden noise, Sovereign places a hand on her sword. "Have we been discovered?" she hisses.

"I am NOT an edge elf!" Sovereign protested loudly.

"I am only half-elf, remember that!" she continued, with a finger raised.

Sovereign stared at the trio as they passed by her, then continued on to the rafter room. Upon seeing the people gathered there, she asks "How much longer before it starts?"

The Blade came to her in her dreams in the monastery where she grew up all her life. It told her vague things, impossible things. Wondrous things. Eventually, it granted her power and a mission: to serve the Raven Queen. For some reason, that involves getting caught up in a gang of thieves.

SOVEREIGN was running late, but eventually she arrives at the library.

Pushing open the door, she passes by the empty front desk and makes her way to the secret attic room, where the painting should be.

How did you lose your 10th teammate, fallen paladin Sir Grace? (he was the one who brought Luis onto the team)

-Sovereign's blade slipped between Sir Grace's ribs and right through his heart, immediately after he revealed he sold out the group in the last job.

-It was not a quick death.

How did you wager a temporary truce between your team and your rivals?

-The old man enters
-Fearless, he stares straight ahead
-It would be his last

Blame Shen for this.

Draw your (or other people's) character(s) in maid outfits. Simple as that!
