i still stand by my comment... it had style! Nobody has themed a comic to a song! thats awesome! Not everything needs elaborate set ups and bios to be to be considered quality. Dont need some final fantasy plot turn bs.. If the art had be fantastic... nobody would be saying anything.. So i still stand by my point...

shorty : I believe that as a comic artist, you have to play a triple threat : you have to be an artist, a writer and a director all at once. I\'m not doubting shelde\'s writing abilities, in fact I\'ve read all the Charlie fights and I agree that he is an EXCELLENT writer...but in the case of Killboy, most of his dialogue seems lazy (in fact his NAME is even pulled from a song). He might be going for some theme, I don\'t know, but as far as this fight goes, the script was...well...not as well-thought-out as his other fights.

Shorty, I think he meant it reflects poorly on a writer as good as Shelde when he doesnt put the effort in and just uses a song. Sure it was creative, but Shelde fans were expecting more I think. I was expecting the trouncing of my life, myself. Shelde is a great writer, no one was arguing this. Just that THIS example is a poor one against him.
People who comment on this fight are doing just that. Commenting on this fight.... not anything else or anyother fight... be it with Charlie or whatever. That has nothing to do with this one.

No prob man. Mostly i find its up to your own preferances. I stick to one or 2, because I know if I used more, I would go WAY overboard. and it would look like ASS. but if you are one of the people that can use a LOT and it looks GOOD, GO for it by all means. Best of luck with your tones. hope to see more soon. and hopefully I get the hang of mine too.

Eh. thanks for the advice and stuff.... I was aiming for a look and feel... and even though it was my first time with a brush, and like third time with tones.... In my mind I nailed it. many a  good manga have only 1 tone in them (the one I used for the back ground) and they look magnificant. I use the Batman Manga graphic novel as my example. it has to be one of the best mangas Ive EVER seen, and it has that one tone. Its just how you use it man. You can use many, like that robo pic in the forum, i forget who poste dit.... or you can use 1 or 2.... and still come out with something just as good. Its just a matter of preferance.

shelde : Creative, to say it bluntly. Had this been penciled or inked it would have been BOSS, but it looks as though it was rushed (forgive me if I'm wrong). As much as the song fits with the comic (with the demon and all), pulling dialogue from a song reflects poorly on you as a writer. But your interpretation of the song was pretty damn sweet. Clean up your panels a bit and I might be able to see what's going on, but overall, nice job.

Dan : Wow, your style fits Killboy to a T. I really love the grungy black and red stuff, it gives it a whole new atmosphere. Aside from Red Demon's anatomy on the last page, this is Red Demon's best fight yet.

BTW, try to have a little more variety on your tones. Either that or don't use them at all; not that it's a bad thing, I'm a tones-nut myself, but I think this battle would have rocked if you shaded by hand.

I was actually kinda hoping that you would think I would turn in just 3 panels again..... like... i didnt do it on purpose... just had a chance to put a bit more time in this one and try my hand at painting..... which I suck at apparently.... lol, oh well. good show, and very creative entry man.
