zeeeee your effects aaaaaa i want to eat your heart to gain your skill! I love how expressively you draw, and the colours are great! The backgrounds, where you did them, are gorgeously rendered though theres a lot of places where its a vague sort of smoke screen. My biggest problem (and its not very big) actually aligns with Corn's, it feels a bit like stuff happens AROUND Grey more than he actually manages to affect. Hopefully we'll get to see him doing more soon!

as always man this comic was really fun and looks amazing and good to see you put that extra week to good work polishing up the effects, those backgrounds were nice and solid and everything had a great sense of scale to it. But I dont feel Grey has much agency in the world, things sorta just happen to him a lot of the time and he really wants nothing out of the city and seems to not even be very disorientated about this situation of the city blowing up more miffed and upset then anything, im also curious if the city being blown up will have any effect on him whatsoever, or if things will just return to the status quo?

Zee: Your special effects are bomb (pun-intended)! I noticed that, when the characters are not doing anything actiony, their poses feel stiff, like in that first panel where Navy is just standing there. Even when a character is just talking, you can use their posture to tell us something about the character's personality, or have the character doing something minor but interesting, like having Navy attend to a disaster victim or hand off supplies to another medic while talking to Arena. This comic is super polished and professional looking. I especially enjoyed how you rendered the city-scapes and environments.

Zee: Man I ALWAYS want to gush about your coloring and your background work because it always looks! So clean and yet nuanced! Even the really simple stuff! BUT THAT'S STILL THE CASE HERE. I also really love the way you do the particle effects like for Grey's green glowy energy stuff. Like, page 9 is AMAZING. Each graduation of color there individually has this excellent compromise of chaos and form, and I love the contrast of the green stuff being a lot more sharp and strandy vs. the blue being more bulbous overall. The ember and the fire and all the little bubbles are such nice little details but they all add a lot!!! <3

Hey Rittler, hope you're doing ok! Both Pyras and Peta run boot camps that should help you out with both of those things you mentioned, so get onto those for a lil boost:

Zee: Love the look of this comic, and really fun approach from outside of the Arma battle. I loved the interaction between these two and definitely wouldn't be too worried about creativity - it was fun. It has professional polish to it and the only real crit I can offer is just a very nitpicky niggle about Arena's speech bubble on panel 3 page 1 - remember that tails are there in part to lead the eye, so having a tail to the third bubble with one leading off-panel from the second one just confuses the flow a bit.
Keep this polish up! If you're worried about creativity, experiment with something wildly different and new and see how it suits you

As for my side of things- I'll be more creative next time I swear!!
Hopefully I handled this in a respectful way (I couldn't resist) and that it's at least somewhat enjoyable ha ha.

Well, I thought I could get /something/ worth a damn done, but I guess not.
I suppose then, I probably should stay away from matches until I learn
-how to write
-how to discipline
Feels kinda garbage, and I really, really don't wanna let this happen again.
Super looking forward to your comic tho, zee!
