I kept joking that I would go to sleep winning, and wake up to see I lost by 1 point. I can't believe it actually happened!

Red               -

Besides downplaying your backgrounds, one of the biggest sacrifices you made getting this in on time was in your line quality. In lots of spots things get a little wobbly or blotchy, and I know from seeing art where you've been more mindful of that stuff that you can totally work the strong dynamic line. I've even seen you do it in 1 weekers before, though to be fair, never in a fight with such a ridiculous amount of pages in such a short amount of time. You're getting so much better at using interesting rendering methods and texture, but I'd definitely like to see you push your line art a little more. Even just by looking at this comic, there are totally spots where I can see you really tighten your line work up.

Even so, it's an awesome comic dude. Every so often you get lost in your subject matter and it's always breathtaking. Death is crazy cool looking, and you put alot of love into Agent Black every time he crops up. You're doing alot of cool stuff with your layout too. I especially like the page with Amy trying to decide what to do, while Moa gets all up on Blacks junk. And speaking of that, the story moves really naturally from one point to the next. At no point did it start to drag or feel rushed. Awesome stuff yo!

Monday       -

"Whilst I acquiesced to getting my shit rocked" AHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAAH I love that line so much. I was really into the black monologue's at the start, there was alot of great lines in there, and I wish you'd kept his thoughts/memories surfaced as the story progressed. I think it added alot too of the feeling of nostalgia and regret.

Artistically, it's super hot, though you definitely had to rush. One thing that seems separate from the rush though, is that every time you attempted a shot of a dudes head from underneath it ends up looking pretty weird. That's totally a hard angle though, so I understand,  but it's definitely something you should work on.

This was a great comic to push your facial expression on, and I'm totally glad to see you going for it.  Great work as usual dude.

Kent         -

I think you're doing some great stuff with expressions in this comic. Like quite a few of Jane's facial expressions are really interesting and fresh. It sucks that you couldn't finish, cause the story was flowing nicely, as it always is.

Really, I feel like alot of the stuff I could bring up would just be a result of 1 week, but I there is something a little more overarching I geuss. I'm still really not feeling your linework, and I feel like it's the only thing that ever seriously nags me in your comics. I dunno if I think you should use a more expressive tool and get more variation, because there's alot of great art I love that uses generally uniform line weight, like Hanna K or Valentin Seiche. I think maybe the difference is just that their stuff is often very loose and relaxed, and your art is more careful and precise. Maybe try throwing in some more relaxed, organic lines into your stuff, maybe playing with texture a little. Just for the variance? Sorry If I'm not really helping dude, I don't really know what I'm saying. Maybe I'm just searching too hard for something to criticize you over.

Still, it was definitely a fun story dude. The banter between the Black clones is great, and I loved the bit the landlord.

I am starting to fall for Agent Black now. Everyone's rendition of him is really awesome. Thank you Red for the introduction. Unfortunately, the first one I read was Mondays, so it didn't make sense to me until I read yours and had to read the other ones again. Although then again I read everyone's more than just twice. I don't often read character introductions before I read the comic, because I believe a good story can be told without explanation (but I do read the descriptions afterwards to pick up anything).

Red: Thank you for the introduction, it was very helpful for noobs like me. Really like the lines. I think the mass amount of 'chapter' cuts was taking out from the comic. Every time the story was about to hit something, it got a new page that had the chapter. Not that cliffhangers are bad, but so many in this amount of pages is unnecessary, in my opinion. I understand the story is changing, but you don't have to tell me every time. Some facial proportions are off when you're working with tricky perspective. I'm not good with them myself, so I don't know how to help you there.

Monday: That was very erotic. The linework was nice but very messy, so I had to carefully read the panels to understand it. I'm sure if it was tightened up a little bit more in some of the action scenes, it would help. I'd like to compliment you on some of the typography (especially the parts that indicate the years), but I think if you made the sound effects of the scenes pop out more than the visuals, it would really help emphasize the action in the comics more. Some of it is hidden because of the color you chose, and some of it is hidden because the hand written typography blends in too much with the background.

Kent: Seems to be a very refined piece for something either unfinished or has a very odd cliffhanger. Be careful about how much black, white, and grey you're choosing for each character. Too much dark grey can blend in with black, too light grey blends in with white, and a giant chunk of dark in the middle of the page draws you to that spot first. If you're using a set color of greys for each color, here's a tip--change the darkness/lightness of the entire character to make them stick out more in the front or back. Just select the outline of the entire character, fill it with black, and change the opacity to whatever you need. The opposite is to fill it with white and do the same thing (although you need to be more careful and make sure you select on top of the edges of the linework). You'd still keep the grey color scheme, but make them look lighter/darker.

Yay, I'm getting my car repaired so I can drive Angie and Pi to the airport so I finally have some time to respond.

Glad you guys liked it. Thanks for the comments so far. I definitely did too much, if only I had at least a couple more days or cut it at least a few pages shorter I know I could have made it much shinier. I was worried about not giving each character the spotlight at least for a little bit, and ending up making it pretty ridiculous. The deadline was so short that I just needed to start with a really general plan and just GO GO GO. I had no idea how many pages it would end up being, just what I wanted to happen.

But honestly, I feel like I bite off more than I can chew quite frequently but I've never really regretted it. Because I ended up chewing it pretty alright anyways. I was talking about this with Monday, and we both enjoy short deadlines. With longer deadlines, I feel like some people lose steam or don't start for a while. A good example is my previous comic, which I had 6 whole weeks to do and ended up making something I wasn't too happy with. I think it's the stress and excitement of a one week that makes it so crazy and pushes people to their limits. I enjoy that so much more than a leisurely 5 weeker. I really love a challenge. But you guys are right, I skimped on some parts in order to just get it all down on paper. I was hoping that the nicer looking parts would overshadow the not-so-good parts. But overall I'm pretty happy with this, and I'm so glad it happened.

Monday & Kent: we made a thing. We made a thing and it was really awesome. Thank you guys for making this one of my favorite matches <3 I'm so glad I finally got to battle one of my all time favorite characters, Agent black. And Kent, your comics are always such a joy to read. I love your sense of humor and how you draw everything and everyone so preciously. Thank you guys :'D

10+pages(3x that in Red's case) in a week is a tall order(re-dunk-ulous in REd's case) and not one many could fill...just look at the recent Scarmageddon where they had a 5x the time.....with the majority of them no where close to complete...you guys all gave yourselves a huge undertaking here and I am understandably impressed with all 3 of you

however(of course there is a however...it's me)...i think all 3 of you feel into the same trap...tried to make it TOO big and do TOO much....granted you all were much more successful than the majority(far and above better than i am capable of) around here in gauging your abilities and managing your time obviously....and I would consider these complete comics...but with just as obvious and in some cases unaaccetable sacrifices to the over all quality of the comics...as a reader it is all about the finished product and for the artist it needs to be about both the creation/process AND the final product...you guys went full bore on process and fell short on final product...however successful you were ( and you all were) with the process and challenging yourselves you all had issues with a final product

Red: I think you come out of this the winner......i was impressed by the story and the design but was disapointed by the artwork....you made obvious sacrifices to the artwork to get this monster down and I kept looking at pages and thinking 'if only she had given herself another week'

Monday: you sacrifice two things in greater amounts the faster you work....quality and even more harmful....clarity....there were quite a few points where I had no idea what the fuck I was looking at....in additon the normal moments where I wanted to slap you silly for rushing thru the rendering that i get whenever I read one of your comics....so you lost me on two fronts and since I have consistently seen you do the same with 2 or even 3 weeks I am really just at a loss with what more to say...you have great concepts....great designs.....terrible execution

Kent: i got no better news fer you...there were some pages that were for what I expect from you just awful....you were forced to rush through too much of this in order to complete it...and it was painful for me to read...because I had quite a few moments of 'why only a week?'with this too....moreso than Red's

I have read quite a few short stories that I will never forget and many more novels that I wish I could

also one week deadlines suck...and I wish we had never implemeted them

Woooow. I literally leaned back in my chair after reading all that and friggin BASKED. you guys churned out shockingly crisp, sharp and beautiful pages upon pages all in ONE WEEK. You are animals, mang!!

RED- What. Are. You??? Holy crap all those pages, and none I felt suffered in quality due to time constraints. They all looked on point and given the same TLC. The stoy was fast pace, visceral and blowout fierce. I especially liked the resulting gunshot to the face. I always considered a demon gal to be scary, but that skull ravaged face was such a wonderfully shocking reveal. I like that you weren't afraid to make her ugly and add that extra oomph to her fury as she battled in the buff. I also really enjoyed how you handled your opponents characters. I think it goes without saying that Agent Black is a cool guy, but seeing him released back onto VOID by death in that way just made him look badass. It's obvious you had SO MUCH fun doing this battle and tussling with some of your favorite voiders because it shows on every page. Good on ya!

MONDAY- Gads I missed your work. I love that you're not afraid to begin slow, let the reader soak in that chilling image of Black on the cross before he's released and all hell breaks loose. I will admit you style lends itself to getting the reader lost in what's happening, but I find your dialogue helps as a guide. A good example is on page 9 when Black jumps away and Amy makes sure we get it by stating what should've been the obvious. also, maybe its been a while, but I was thrown by the random hell-passer by who picked a fight with Black once he's freed. What was up with that? Still, your comics are always a treat. It's a shame we have to wait until October to get them.

MISTER KENT- For such a serious threeway, I really dug that yours seemed to take a more casual approach, letting the reader crack a smile and chuckle before we got into the craziness. I was finding myself so invested and eager to get to the next page that realizing your story wasn't complete threw me before it was reduced to total bummer-i-tude. Sorry to see you couldn't wrap events, but still- holy hell the page count for one week. If that's not impressive I don't know what is. Of all your pages, my fav has to be the vignette of Agent Black with all the post-its framing him. Even without knowing what was going on.
