Bobo: Ahaha you make it sound like I can't draw at all! You can either have 18 pages of the above quality and a completed story or 5 pages of this quality http://i45.tinypic.com/2s9a9gp.jpg and an incomplete story. WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME?
Haha, seriously though, thanks to everyone who commented (and voted). Much appreciated!

Jong: If you were planning on defaulting or weren't interested in moving on, you could have always said no.
JAZ: You did such a fantastic job. You really have a skill in developing characters and I think this tournament was really great for you. 19 pages in 1 week is seriously no joke. I would have issue maybe with your line width, but the color fixes that up perfectly. I really think shadows would have looked good, but you carry yourself well with your gradients.
You really took Merrick from being no one before this tournament and I think it's fair to say he's a favorite character of mine now. I also love how you had Zoey develop, too.
I really can't stress how impressed I am with what you've done for this entire tournament. Even including your stint with THE FRIDGE, you somehow managed to do all of this. Once again, you did a great job and deserve way more praise than you're getting.

I am not gonna fault him though because he had a strong showing this tournament. And if the last round was any indicator, he ran out of steam and/or had more pressing matters. So I will give him props. A default sucks but it happens.

Mrnoitaull: I'm starting to wonder if Despot even knew he advanced.

He most absolutely did, I informed him personally and got an answer that resembled understanding.

D'aww a default.
But hey, a winner! Congrats!
Not only was this a great end to this race, but it was a fabulous introduction to the fighter (of which I had never seen), solid development and a truly VOID-esque resolution. You managed to keep your opponents center stage along with Merrick even with all the personal drama and problems he was dealing with AND his kid on top of it. It flowed so seamlessly you'd think you carefully plotted this all in advance. Truly a great read.

Awww... that made me cry. I guess I should have just kept going and let JAZ at least beat someone who finished something. Aw well. I can't wait to read your comic!

Jaz, as always you are great at emotional storytelling and solid character development. It's always a surprise to see where your characters end up. Your page count is phenomenal. You've got my vote.

Whether I win or lose, this has been one hell of a ride. About sixty pages in two months, not to mention actually completing a story arc. I feel good, but also incredibly tired. Goodnight everyone, I recon I'll wake up in about a week when voting is over haha.
