tdkgunghoul: Actually, I used the leve/floorl they were on as the horizon line, and perspective was going fine until it somehow screwed up so I just eyeballed it.

But that's precisely what I mean about a convenient angle. Whereas tilting or lifting the camera up or down any would've given you a more naturalistic & believable view, you're flatting that one stretch of floor out as a matter of convenience for yourself & it looks awkward that you try to set everything up around that. Not only does it look a bit simple & like an easy way out of drawing the scene, it also acts to kind of cut your picture in half with a straight horizontal line running through it that's not really that pleasing in a compositional sense.

If you're going to really show off the world & plan on giving us some nice perspective, plan the angle on what would be a nice angle; what would look nice, not on how it'd be easy to just put the floor here like this.

Base, good to see you give it a shot. But yeah, not only wasn't it finished, what was here was only just a story fragment with little to really get into. If you're going to work widescreen/hotdog/landscape/whatever, be mindful that the eyes still move left to right, then down. The layout of the second page sort of had kars acting tangentially to point my eyes downward but not well enough & ultimately it didn't seem necessary to make that last panel so big & splashy. As a matter of fact, the amount of space you were giving to show so little action, you could've possibly told these three pages in one & a half. Also, hand drawn images are complimented better by a font that also looks more handmade. Stark arial letters over penciled pages doesn't look so pretty. check out font sites. the best one to get started with for comics purposes is blambot.
 Keep trying though.

tdk, this was ambitious & i liked where it's going, but what bugged me was that there were a lot of very convenient angles in this. Like one side profile shot to another. And then the big splashy town shot at the end, the way the level they were on just kind of holds flat rather than fitting in with the perspective, it was all a bit odd. I'd really like to see you keep on practicing more & more with your backgrounds.
