Lenia Conrad is a Justicer of the West, a member of a small but influential guild of warriors dedicated to the protection of humanity. She comes from a place called the Blasted Lands; a harsh and wild land where humanity is on the breach of desolation on the rural ranges of the post-cataclysm West.
Lenia is the last recruited member of the guild. Though young, youngest by half at 25, her experiences on the wastes and her innate ability to tap into the manna reservoir made her a natural candidate. Her training as a Justicer gave her the ability to control and use the manna field to her advantage helping her dexterity, agility, and with great concentration, gave her the ability to briefly glimpse into the future, as well as see the flow of mana from one being to the next.
(Manna is the substance that connects all living things, its not good or bad, it just exists. It comes from the Earth, and in a sence is the life blood.)
But using these abilities came with a cost; Lenia began to experience great headaches as a result of her training and continues to feel pain as long as she uses what the Justicers came to call “The Sight.†She picked up smoking as a temporary salve to the pain, and now chain- smokes excessively.
Where Lenia is from, wild animal mutations (sometimes called 'furries'), supernatural abilities, and cybernetic monstrosities are distrusted, hated, and feared, and in the West, it’s as the saying goes, “if it ain’t human, it ain’t livin’,†It’s a narrow saying, but towns or “cities†don’t get much bigger than a few hundred people in the wastes, so Void City is going to be a very new, exciting, and intimidating experience for Lenia. It is also ironic how she fears and mistrusts the powers that gave her the ability to use “The Sightâ€.
Lenia has been sent to Void City to put an end to the chaos that plauges it, and protect its people from threats within and without. She is martially trained to use both the Justicers Warblade, and Heavy Caliber Pistol on her hips, but only as last resorts. No dueling for the fun of it; if she draws either its to defend herself and or kill her opponent. Otherwise she is a ruff and tumble fist-a-cuffs fighter who brawls bar room style if she has to fight at all. No fancy stuff, just punch, kick, tackle, throw, whatever works.
Being in Void might challenge her beliefs and opinions, or may drive her farther into the ‘Western Mentality’, which could play out in interesting ways through her interactions with Void City citizens.
She speaks with a western drawl and uses 'colorful metaphors' to describe what she encounters or feels ie: see hick, redneck, country folk.
