Acacia is a Djinn, a small Djinn, that's been kicked out of Genieland Incorporated (a service industry dealing with wishes and other things genie related) for misbehavior. The Big Boss Head will allow her return provided she completes 40 of his tasks and challenges.

Except she really, really, does not want to go back to working for a bunch of slobs, losers, get-rich-quick slimeballs and the general filth of the human populace that turns to Genieland for a panacea to their woes and would be perfectly content mucking around the mortal world. Unfortunetly for her, she's a favorite of the Devil's (related through a long, complicted route, so he'd be something like her mother's father's uncle's counsin's aunt's sister-in-law's mother's great granddaddy) and he's doing everything in his power to get her back.

In the meantime, she's been living in KQ Bakery in Void with Ishmael, the owner of said pastry establishment. As a Djinn she doesn't have to eat, but she likes the atmosphere and the smells of the baked goods.

The heart patch on her face is a check on her power she can't perform any difficult, and therefore useful, spells, because it inhibits her ability to speak, but she can still shrink in size and summon small objects (so long as they weigh less than ten pounds). With Hell in her blood, she can stand temperatures up to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit in relative comfort...and that's about it.
