Alright people, i voted!  I know im a tad bit late, but its all good!  I split it up pretty evenly i think and i gave the right choice.  I like Mr.Is comic the best out of both of them.  I liked your stuff Smiley no lie, and uve already gotten grief over critiques and all and everyone already said basically everything i was thinking so im not even gonna go there.  Mr. I, i think you were holding off a tad, but i understand, i think what happened.  You did the 3 pages, and then sent it in immediatly.  Then smiley got the entension so there would be no way to do an extra page or two.  I understand whatever happened because of the circumstances.  much love to you both.  Nice battle!

True, but making excuses to cover your flaws is equally as vain. It's like you're expecting us to go "OH, now that you put it THAT way, your entry is PERFECTLY fine !"....which we won't.

Smiley: First thing's first... don't be an 0r0ch1, he had a huge ego and expected everybody on void to bow down and kiss his ass and praise everything he did. Guess where he is now Not at void that's for sure. Everybody else pretty much nailed what you needed to improve upon (Though I can't understand why you're not listning), and Zato pretty much said what I wanted to say about the story. Basicly, I think you need to swallow your pride, and maybe think to yourself that maybe the critiques you're getting are there to help and not the oppasite. So I'll just leave it at that.

Impossible: Dry humor man... lazyness tends to get to the best of us at times, but I know you can bring it to the table if you just GET OFF YO ASS BOY!! lol. Seriously, you're ripping us off here man.

Wow, your argument proved EXACTLY what I'm trying to tell you. You can't just settle for typical ninja tricks with a character like this, you have to WOW us. Having only 3-4 pages to work with is no excuse. You should have been able to do something impressive given that minimum, but instead you settled for the typical ninja fight.

Oh, and learn how to draw a katana blade correctly; that's a weakness that'll get you in trouble with about half the fighters here.

Back to the subject at hand...
If you look in my bio it saids that Kimitoku has ninja fighting skills. So that is what I put in the fight. If the fight was more than three or four pages, Kimitoku would be doing more than just a ninja teleport and sword attack.

yeah possible we feel u on the laziness thing(which has plagued me since i been here).You just got a crowd of people waiting for the true you to hop out, i kno if we ever fight(hint) i want your fullest(which i expect from all the alliance)since the griffin beat down made me touch up on a few things,i owe some serious payback....so i'm dropping hint now after i fight everyone else in alliance i'm going after griffin for a rematch

Ugh, you just lost respect points from me, Smiley. I thought you were above all that. But let's not sidetrack, time for some crits.

Kimi : Shorty and everyone else trying to get the point across already said enough about the art aspect, so I'll crack down on some other stuff. As your first entry, you present a solid fight with good colors and some nice direction. BUT, the fight was nothing surprising at all. Just the normal "ninja teleport", "sensei-training flashback" and "secret ninja technique isn't really more than a normal slash with a background and subtext". In other words, it's just like watching Kimi and Mr. Imp play out a VERY typical ninja-fight. Try to be more original and perhaps I'll be impressed, I was looking more forward to seeing what a catgirl-ninja coulda dished, but I'm pretty disappointed. I'm looking forward to seeing improvements on this, I'm sure they'll be great.

Mr. Imp : Yeah I agree you were holding back on this one. The lack of backgrounds takes away from the art, but the lines and the hatching kinda make up for it. You also presented a more entertaining story than Kimi, so I'll give you the points for that as well. Everyone kinda mentioned everything else, so I'll leave you with what I got. Keep it up.

I hope you guys aren't in the opinion that we know "nothing" about comics. Like I said before Smiley, you can ignore what I say you need to work on, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. Your work doesn't need to be a Da Vinci, but it does need to be presentable in order to make it to the next level.

If your talking about how Kimitoku is holding the sword in the first page there is nothing wrong with it. But on the second page I see what you mean. Also I drew Mr. Impossible posed like that to show that he is shocked. I'm not trying to draw life-like pictures. Because in real life there are no Catgirls or a kid called Mr. Impossible who has hands that are bigger than his head. Its a comic not a Leonardo De Venci painting.

Kimitoku's tail hanging out like that looks like a pink sock to me(for those who know what that is)but yeah i think u did give this the more did possible did,and i like the style of coloring u did for this,i agree with the anatomy its looks off here and there but i think for only being yo"second"comic ever u did pretty good.

the spider pose though... its aight... the beef i have with that pose is that the shoulder on the right should be shifted down more, and of course the shoulder on the left should be up more...if you really size them arms up, they would prolly hit her knees... and i dont know much bout yer chracter .. but normal humans dont have arms that reach down to their KNEES.

we tell you these things becuase sometimes ya'll dont SEE THEM.

If you don't want to take my comments into consideration thats fine. That doesn't mean my comments aren't right. She is spiderlike... her arms are as long as her legs. You did the same thing to Mr. Impossible on the first page. Bottom right. Get it right. Her hand has no knuckles in your second page. Mr. Impossible has no shoulder blades in your top left panel etc. etc.  Learn how to take a crit before getting defensive. I'm trying to help.

btw. I'm working on two other projects besides void, and I'm creating a new character for void. If you're knocking my productivity why don't you take a look in the forums.

Um Shortfury you need to lighten up a bit when you comment. You always come out aggressive. This is my second comic ever! To be honest I'm just happy I sent something in. Also my anatony is not wonky. The crouching pose is not spider-like. Its just a crouch pose of a cat-like-woman preparing to fight. Btw, when will you sumit a fight? Also Mr. Impossible doesn't create wonkey anatony for he is the king of comics!

Mr. Impossible's entry was good too, but it was much more lazy... comical but lazy. No colors and the line weights were all over the place. You could have at least added some tones, considering you had an extra week to work on it. Seems you did a little bit of underestimating.  

Both of you really need to work on developing backgrounds. Study your anatomy too (especially hands)

Kimitoku should have this one. She put much more effort in and it shows.
