Silver-I like the amount of effort you put into your pages by coloring it even though it\'s in grayscale and such. You do seem to be having a few problems with fonts, for instance on the bottom of the first page the big \"CRASH!\" blends in with the background. I think you could have benefitted a lot from adding a specific light source to the panels, that would have made it much more dramatic. All in all great effort and looking forward to seeing more from you!
Berlin-I like your linework and your character designs, but you still need help with the page layouts. I got kind of confused by the occasional capital letters that weren\'t supposed to really be there in the word balloons and the font was kind of hard to read at times. I would also like to see you clean up your pages a bit more, the gray look is kind of bland and looks unprofessional. You have interesting ideas just polish your stuff a bit more

This monitor we have here doesn\'t really show slight differances like that. I\'ll correct it in the future...

hmm.. let\'s see..
TopHat: You showed some potential. I got bored at times, and some parts were impossible to read, but it was still pretty good, regardless.
Berlin: I appreciated the Rush Limbaugh appearance. While I was reading your comic, I kept thinking you didn\'t clean it up... but then I realized it was the white dialouge bubbles on the grey background making me think that. I think you should\'ve made the dialogue bubbles the same color, maybe a bit darker.

Yea...I\'ve been milling it over in my head and I think I\'d have a better show with two things.
1: More texture
2: Grey color, like my other ones
But I kinda got arrested and that cut into my post preduction time...so....any the next one will be better...think the Clerks comics and Grrl Scouts....cause those are my referances....

Both were equally entertaining and I really enjoyed both figher\'s characters.
Berlin Poe, I really liked the idea of mixing video games, liquor, drugs, and a hooker all in six pages, impressive xD Despite how you think you should\'ve put more color and shading into your comics I think that your style does well with almost no color aside from the occasional gray spots. I also know how difficult coloring a whole bunch of pages gets, so way to go TopHat in coloring those pages!
TopHat, You did a very good job with camera angles and keeping things easy to understand despite all the activity that was going on in your comic, I even laughed out loud when BagLady and Veebeenee stole the money and fish.
Good luck to the both of you~

By referring to \'pop-culture\', I was talking about the pages you devoted to a call of duty parody. I did not participate in the forum discussion, these are just my thoughts on the matter. I still stand by my comment that it looks flat, but you certainly could fix it with come color. Don\'t take the critique too seriously.

Not to be a defensive Delly, but my comic looks flat compared with Top Hat\'s because, and this reason only, it\'s not colored at all. Mine is all comic strip style Nib pen. My line wieghts ARE varied with thicker out lines on closer characters. It\'s harder to see this on Phil and DD but the Luck Brothers it\'s spot on.
There is NO referances here! That comment about not knowing the characters well enough to let pop them do pop culture referances is tried at the forums. Clearly you skimmed mine and read their profile. Since they don\'t sell a sticking bit of drugs in this.
Anyway I\'m not taking this that hard personally. Top hat has a great showing here, my jokes are standard Void meanness, if I went with something a bit less wordy and more action I would have had a chance here. But I went with they duos playing video games. Eh...
Live and learn. I\'m kinda excited about doing a beyond the battle about them escaping this lose...

A very entertaining intro battle from both sides, and deserving of a good critique...
TopHat:
Positives- I love your sense of humor. It\'s cute and low-key, relying on clever word play rather than inane references and violence (not that I can talk). Page five was especially good. haha Art-wise, these are some of the cleanest lines I\'ve seen from you in a while, but your grays are kind of muddy here. Some more definied tones would be nice. Your facial expressions = win, though.
Negatives- ...Muddy colors. Occasionally you get a bit scribbly. While this sometimes works for comic effect, other times it just looks shoddy. Your coloring and movement is better than Poe\'s, but his linework is better than yours. This is a very minor point, though, so don\'t take it too seriously.
Poe:
Positives- I love the idea of VOID having a pair of drug dealers. Honestly, I\'m shocked it took this long for someone to fill up that particular niche. You also have a very interesting inking style...it almost looks like it was done with a brush pen in some places...
Negatives- I\'m not familiar enough with your characters to find it funny when they do pop-culture parodies. Once I get to know them better it\'ll work, but as of now their personalities are largely undefined. It might be because I\'m tired, but I really didn\'t find your comic quite as entertaining as TopHat\'s. Art-wise, I\'m going to suggest that you try varying your line width. Your drawings look flat because of all of the uniformity. Very clean and professional, just lacking flair.
It was a quality match on both sides, but I\'m going to have to give this one to TopHat.

Holy crap. Both of these are friggen hilrious. I think its the best duo vs duo match I ever seen.
REALLY hard to choose omg. I\'d say the Luck Brothers get this one cause of better Quality. But everything else is equal in other ways. XD

I hope, for your own sake Poe, that you are joking. I can\'t be responsible for the what the brothers would do to you if they were portrayed as anything less then straight... or for their fangirls on Deviantart... I think I might chuck a rusty spoon at you as well.

I\'m looking forward to this one. I have few jokes up in my noodle already.
So, firstly I drew the luck brothers, but I inked them this time. It looks rather good, I think. Dark outlines that I\'ll apply to the new intro I\'m working on.
Anyway. Awesome. Good look, my man.
