OH I did find one thing that bothered me but on like a nerd level,

Did flint locke get SHOT  in order to pull the manhattan ? Or did the bullet just disappear with him in his general field ?

Cause I totally needed to see a bullet wound on him if it had to go inside him, teleport and go through him to hit that dude.

This is the sweetest fucking thing I've seen on void this month. Great action, great flow. I didn't give a shit why they wanted to kill some porn pimp because the characterization and the sweet exhibition of their powers rocked my shit for the 10 minutes that I was reading it.

I have no qualms with the art style because everything communicated and the writing was pretty aces because of it. And for now- I cannot for the life of me find anything wrong with it save for nitpicky details that werent too problematic. Some mechanical reference was off here and there but thats pretty much it.

I have not one, but two pits of self-loathing and they are underneath both my arms.

Anyway... I can't say that I am a big fan of the drawing style, the lines seem a little too wobbly for me and the mouth thing was already brought up, but that is more or less just a personal preference. The comic in general I found to be entertaining for the most part though, with some nice action bits. I guess really in general I am going to have to echo what Rofl said pretty much. All in all it was decent :P

Actually Fred, I disagree, I'd give it 140%. The art is a little rough, but the sense of humor is right up my alley. Weird, I've never felt dirty after using that expression before now.

the comics front page gives this 140%... I mean, it's great, but not THAT great XD

But yeah, I really love your comics, michael, no exception here. The action was great, story entertaining, and that "Manhattan" was a quite inventive use of Flint. My bigest problem is the expresions, those faces really lack some life to them.

MichealHarris: First page, I would work on trying to make the water more interesting to distinguish it out from the sand because the island for the most part looks the same as the water with a few minor differences. You could push those blacks more than you do, I think.

Sometimes you take it in a really good direction like when you have 'background' limbs all in black, such as when Dumb and Dumber are rolling in through the window on page 3. But on the flip side, sometimes you leave too much emptiness to these images, such as page 9 with HUNDREDS of empty white bodies or the crumbling floor. It just makes it feel really dead without these blacks. And, I could just say 'well he was expecting colors', but really you did this with your fight against Arena too I remember, so improving your blacks in these comics is something you should work on in general.

As an aside, I really don't like when you just turn the mouth all black like one of those Japanese Ring Ghosts or something and leave the teeth behind. It makes them look like creepy zombie mouths and is just horrific to look at. Granted, I'm sure that won't change your style of doing them just because of my critique.

You've got a nice action sense going on here, a lot of good flow. Although the RPG tearing through The Ghost's sleeve is unbelievable, but hey, I'll suspend my disbelief.

Your characters seem to have no focus in their eyes. They're always staring off in space, not where they should be looking at or looking at something else. An example would be something like the 14th page where Ghost Revolver is talking to Flint Locke but not looking at him, for some reason. It just makes it really weird when you consider positioning.

The comic wasn't bad, although it was a little boring. Hopefully you get back to battling soon.

gofrankgo: I guess um. . .welcome to the site? I don't usually talk about the lettering in a comic unless people use different fonts. When it was said that you were the letterer I was expecting it to be hand-written, but font work is just as well.

I think I'm not a fan of changing voice font in a comic, even when giving ' A NAME! tm. ' I've never been one for that in general, I think. Unless handwritten. Your action texts were fine, except some of them were VERY bland. Specifically the 'break' and 'crunch' on page 6 or the 'skraf-koom' on page 13. They needed to be different or something with more impact. I guess pick and choose better next time.

I hope you stay around the site and participate?

I think this comic really showcases some aspects of your art style that I really haven't seen before. I know you've done action before, but the way Revolver and Flint are constantly falling and flailing - it shows a fine understanding of depth and perspective, making for some really exciting pages, I think. And I loved the design of the PPP. :)

So... sometime in late 2009 Me and Dave set out to make a murder bullets comic. I was to write, pencil and ink, Dave was on colors and Frank did letters. One of these people, who shall not be named, failed to do their part and is now roasting in a pit of self loathing.
