Just thought I'd post some of my artwork from deviantart.

These are some of the works I was pretty happy with (or at least at the time I drew this and that.

(Pyras' character)

(I actually had been given a job to illustrate for a client who writes children's books on caring for the environment, in this case learning about the life cycle of a frog.

Yeah I shamefully altered a photo of a factory for the background. Like I said, backgrounds are not my strongest skill.

I was trying to learn how to draw elderly people, as most of my artworks consist of young anime-esque characters. It's NOT easy...

Painter 11 is one of my best friends. I love the Digital Watercolour brush the most.

One of the examples on why I need to improve on drawing profile shots...

Manga Studio is another one of my best friends.

Practicing drawing hands.....had to use my hand for reference...

Yes, I like Pokemon....ones that are easiest draw that is...

More Pokemon art...

One of the few colouring jobs I'm happy with. Though I was too lazy to draw my own lines at the time....

One of the few Painter jobs I'm happy with.

good looking stuff.

if you're having trouble with backgrounds, i'd like to see more of them from you, so we can get a better idea of what's holding you back.

Mostly it's because I have horrible perspective ^^;

Yeah, I realize that.

I'm just very embarrassed to show my weaknesses.

Yeah, I realize that.

I'm just very embarrassed to show my weaknesses.

Oh don't be :3 there's lotsa people who wanna see em so they can suggest stuff to make it less weak. Or maybe even a strength someday! :D

And plus, it's really not that hard, perspective is pretty cut and dry and can be fun if you play around with it. There's a thread here on perspective here and it's pretty in depth, so if there's something you want to know about general perspective it's probably in there. I would say go play around making up environments made from blocks and maybe some stock photos based around these rules and stuff hehe

Anyway I guess there's that and I don't know enough about bodies to really suggest anything to improve on there but in my eyes I don't see anything that's too glaring about your characters. Except I do feel like some of the eyes seem a bit far apart, maybe you might wanna think about that but that's all I think I'd have to offer.

Cool, thanks for the link.

The eyes being a bit far apart? Hmm...funny, it didn't feel that way to me. But yeah, I'll take another look at that.

My favorites from are the Pokemon shots and that Aladdin looking girl. Mostly the latter, that is a pretty sick illustration.

I agree the eyes are a bit far apart in a lot of these, I would definitely give that a look.

Thanks. The 'Aladdin-looking' girl is from Thief and the Cobbler.

Its always fun to see people post stuff up and see how excited they get. You're enthusiastic and thats a good step towards having a good attitude in drawing and in general. What I noticed besides the lack of background was a consistent lack of feet as well~! I'd like to see more dynamic full body shots since a lot of the stuff you have drawn look like stiff poses/pinups.

Thanks.

I can't draw feet to save my neck (I find them harder to draw than hands in fact), which again is another weakness I don't like exposing.

Just random crap of G.Swan, nothing too special.

The first one was when Pascaline was still in Ballet School. Her hair was a little longer then.

The second...I like colouring the lines disney-style at times.

The third one...was my mega-OOOOOOLD design for her when I was still in high school....so glad I changed her XD

The fourth you may have already seen when she was still in the incubator. I thought I'd give you a close up of her.

It's like a photo shoot! It's funny you mention disney though cause I got the disney princess vibe from the third one... Down to a point, obviously. XD

I think it's the hair and the sleeves. It's neat to see all these different takes though.

Practicing drawing G.Swan using Painter 11's pens and pencils.

Just more practicing crap in Painter 11.

I think I'll be using Painter to draw my comics next time, it gives the drawings a more organic feel.

Nightlife version of G.Swan, hanging out at the Crimson Orchid bar.

This is Kore (prnounced kor-ray), a knife wielding OC I had for a couple years. She's another character I considered adding in the future. I did this back when I didn't know shit about how to properly adjust brushes on PS. Also used a lot of awful default textures then too...

More blasts from the past.

I drew in Manga Studio Debut 4 to practice the maru pens and the like.
