Thanks for the comments everyone.
Spoon: With regards to the stories going nowhere, I had to strip back a lot of what I had intended to do as I realised I didn't have the time to dedicate to it that I thought I did. The intention was to branch off with each character introduced, and all come back together at the end in the circus. This is why Shift shows up for no reason, among other things.
I definitely don't consider this my strongest comic I've submitted, (apologies, Mr Kent) but I appreciate the opportunity make a better one. Thanks everyone who read it.

Ah sorry I missed out on the critiques this round but I just have to say this:
Dr. Salt. Your comics are perfection. How can I become you?
But no less respect to Kent who stepped up with a great comic. Sorry for the lack of crits, I'll try harder next round.

DR SALT- Agh that horizontal format. Why. Whhhhhy. I notice from some of the comments people seemed to really enjoy it, but I was definitely not a fan. I did, however see the purpose for it in order to overlap your stories one by one. Its an interesting method, but it just seems a shame the other stories didn't seem to go anywhere. They were really only just there to showcase some of the contestants I'm thinking? Hell, who doesnt love a good cameo? Still, no lie, I laughed like a crazy person on the very first series of panels where TL Bot presses all the elevator buttons. It only gets better as another TL Bot gives poor Raygun too much chocolate. Its such a change from the usual TL Bot to be new and interesting, but not too much that it seems outta character. I can totally see why Red traded off characters now.
KENT- oooh WHATTA TWEEST! I had no idea where this was going, but boy howdy did I enjoy the ride. Tl Bot channeling his inner R2D2 was adorable, and I totally love the way you draw the little guy. Way to embrace all the crazy scars and junk poor Raygun has and use it to further his story. Like, dude, a unicorn horn as a crown of kingdom? hilarious. You never fail to weave a tale that really leaves the rest of us gathering up something comfy to sit on because we're gonna be here a while waiting for then ext chapter!

I really liked both of these comics! Don't really have much to say
Dr Salt you sure tricked me- I was like "one whole page- OH OH I SEE" that was pretty creative and the drawings were really cute.
Kent your comics are always so funny! I totally fucked up on the top of page ten and thought Athena said "We've voided the warranty" haha. I don't know if you do any level stuff but maybe turning up the white might get rid of those pencil (?) lines easy? I can't tell if you did the levels or got a super nice scan. Also woah Athena is Meredith's super hot doppelganger.
In any case these are really fun and good luck!

dr salt- hahaha ow wow I liked your use of infinite canvas! the overlapping timelines and horizontal format were really well used! and it was so funny and cute, I laughed like a hundred times! for some reason the idea of Raygun as a robo-racist is weirdly hilarious? or maybe its just because its TL Bot? either way i like how the shootout ended. everything about this is gold, great comic!
Kent! loving your strong blacks, though sometimes I wonder if the inks are slightly TOO heavy? Like Wizzie on page 5 looks a bit like a cardboard cutout. in any case fun comic, action and intrigue! I like this whole big mysterious backstage you are building to the tournament, so epic! curious to see where it goes if you win! good job, love some more Raygun comics!

Oh, Dr.Salt, you know how to throw me for a loop and give me a totally sweet, new experience that I never could have expected! I absolutely loved your comic, and appreciate the amount of work that must have gone into coming up with all those cameos and intertwining plots. Awesome work, dude. Would have liked to see some more backgrounds, but it wasn't as big of a problem as it would have been if you were going for a more realistic and detail-heavy style. So I guess it's more of a judgment call here.
@kent: I AM BETRAYED! You know DAMN well that's not where Raygun got his robo arm! :I
Anyway, with that off my chest *grumble grumble*, I'm consistently blown away by your storytelling and out-of-the-box thinking. I never read a Kent Komik(tm) and feel like I've read the story somewhere else before. I don't know what it is about your brain, but it just seems to be wired for originality in a way that most of us try all our lives to accomplish and always fail! Or maybe I just don't have any originality in MY brain and it's just me who's failing. Either way, you win my award for best storytelling in recent VOID history. Never stop. The negatives: your lines looked a little rougher than some of your other recent work; the edges seem kind of fuzzy for some reason. And seeing pencil lines is always a downer. Some of your art seemed a little rushed, but not enough to be a big deal (mostly, I just noticed that Athena seemed a little less detailed at the end of the comic than the other characters, with bigger line widths and less line variation). That's getting kind of nitpicky, but I want to give you any feedback I can.
Well, both of these comics were amazing, and I don't want to lose either of you in this tourney, so... good luck to both of you, I guess!

Damn, these are both super cute. Gorgeous comics!S Salt's layout bouncing back and forth between following along with different people was really cool, and I love the detail of Kent's pages. It'll be so much fun to see how this turns out!
