I also have one curious little question: Throughout this particular comic, the half-tones are utilized in the shading, not for the featured characters main skin tone. All except for Cassidy's, whose entirety of her skin is covered in this tone. Why? Even Mr. Bot's arms, of the same tone, when not shaded do not have this half tone on them in some parts (Ex: Panels 5-8). It doesn't ruin Cassidy's appearance, she doesn't get lost in the panels and sticks out quite nicely, but it just something I ask why you left her skin covered in just for curiosities sake .

It's to better simulate her darker purple color and to provide distinction between the colors between her and Mr. Bot's arms (and anywhere else I utilized brown). This was originally simply a toned comic, but I ended up deciding to use colors for that part as well.

I use 3 different types of darkness (6 actual layers, so I can use gradients). These are the bog standards ones that come with every copy of Clip Studio.

MrPr: You have fun comics and i enjoy the stories in them, in particular my favorite moments of this are the middle panel on page 3 and Cassidy's reaction to Pudding being a hero was great with the exaggerated expression and the way you did the words on it. It's good to see you working on adding more environment panels and more scenery and as you do it more you will get better at it. I will say you also do need to start adding some kind of shading to give a better sense of depth and place. You should practice some shading techniques and try some different things for it. also a quick small thing you could do for the flat color backgrounds is just add a gradiant to them to make them a little more interesting. This was a fun comic and I look forward to seeing more

Schneider: These screen tones are amazing I love it, how many screentones did you use for this? I love that the main source of shading in this is the screentones and that's just amazing, I want to learn to be able to do screentone stuff like that This is a super good style and I like it a lot.

MrPr1993: This was a very cute comic! I enjoyed watching it and I think you captured Pudding's essence pretty well! I also think they had a cute interaction! You've been improving your emotional display lately, getting a lot more expressive which is good. I think Cassidy has a good range. I like how you've had her play humor and some more dark stuff. You've been getting pretty good at that.

I'm not sure that this heavily pixelated linework is doing you any favors, especially when it's large like that. The line weight differences are a lot more pronounced and the package as a whole is a bit weak, I think. Your foundation is improving, but this particular look I don't think is complimenting you. You're definitely doing better foundation-wise I think and I really like how you've kind of moved Cassidy to a more expressive route than when she started. (Pudding was also a lot of fun and well done!) I don't want to say this pixelated linework is wrong, but consider in the future playing up your colors in more daring and different ways to compliment this pixel look? Maybe try going out of the box and using some NES palettes for your next comic. A limited color scheme could be really interesting with what you're going with and may bring it all together.

I think one of the things that I noticed that could have been improved on was the fact you utilized the same navy color for the background shots. When you're playing with something where a lot of the background work is simply colors, either due to time or stylistic decision, you can afford to play with other colors. A large burst of warm for a panel (such as Cassidy's page 4 exclamation) would really help give it a bigger emotion. Or maybe even the crash, you could have utilized more warm tones for that, to help carry the action and the 'burst' of energy that the panel provided. I also think you could have simply split the view in half and gave us some green or gray on the bottom half of each panel and that'd be enough of a visual break up to help have a little more going on.

On the whole, I really enjoyed your comic. I had a good time rematching you. Maybe we'll do it again some time! Nice work!

MrPr: I like how you showed Pudding's character traits, I actually didn't know he was a cyborg, definitely got me more interested in him. Your dialog is still a little wonky, so be sure to get your scripts proof read. I'd like to see you use more mid shots. You do a lot of talking head panels with a single character's face in them, and it's not interesting or dynamic. It can also be hard to read what's happening in such tight closeups.  When Mr. Bot's arms start to come out, you've drawn and colored them differently in the first panel of that sequence, so I didn't get what was happening at first. Pull that camera back more often. And you can add some much needed depth to these pages by dropping a little shadow from Mr. Bot on whatever he's hovering in front of. It often looks like he isn't really part of the world. I really like your expressions here, especially how you've drawn Pudding.

Eric: Now this is what I expect from you. I can see which of the two battles you took at the same time got most of your attention. Maybe your Dauber Pauper comic was a style experiment, but it came off as rushed. Much higher marks for art quality on this one. I like how you seem to be playing with the infinite scroll WebToons format; are you gearing up to launch a comic there?
