Yeahh the charades page was a little (a shitload) rushed, but I couldn't put much dialogue in that page either.
However I agree I still need to work on the pacing a bit, going back and looking at it now Page twr seems a little off.

I agree with Phillip, DD, that pencil tool you lauded is killing your art!

My vote goes to DD because of completion; I think that if I knew what was going on in the last pages of your comic, Urah, I woulda voted higher. Had to read twice to get everything up to page 4. You can get grade points your way if the story is comprehensible from beginning to end, even if you only have rough sketches outlined and the deadline is coming in quickly, try to make adding the letters for the story a priority in that desperate moment of time, so that when all is said and done, at the least the story is complete front to back

Don't worry, I still want to color this as a beyond battle when everything's all said and done.

Welcome to void you two.
Digital: Not the best battle I've seen, but it's good to have you with us. Try to avoid all digital honestly as everything is very pixelated and junk. Story was OK.
Urah: I really wish you could of finished this, manage your time better in the future and you can be a real contender, the art and story was OK.
Voted for Urah.

No...I mean I started Sunday the day this thing was due...that was 16 straight hours of work done in a Miami house with a broken AC. >.< Next round I'm starting early, no more of this last minute rushing. It's murder on me.

Dude!
I thought I was the only dead beat who didn't get started as soon as they were matched up!
Wow that sounds mean.
Really, the first day was spent figuring out what the heck eve would do with a quadriplegic.
THEN, I didn't do any work on it till Thursday on account of laziness and schoolwork.
If you meant Sunday as in 8 days to go Sunday then I feel like an ass retroactively.

Man a few minutes past the deadline now and I was only able to upload 6 of the 10 pages I'd scripted. I put around 16 hours into this, and actually started sunday morning. I had a really hectic week. I did learn a bunch about my limitations X-x. I know I have far to go artistically, and this is my first attempt at sequential art.
I wish you the best of luck Urah03 You've probably outpaced me easy, but I'm here to learn and grow so I'm happy.

OMFG
Finally got all the pages penciled.
Uh I think I'm just going to ink and color the first page, anything more and my brain might fall out.
Truth be told I couldn't find time to get started until Wednesday so, at least I know I'll be able to fully color the next round.
Assuming I make it to the next bracket
Best of luck Digital Dragon.

I feel your pain, Urah. When I finally finished a script I was satisfied with I sketched out thumbnails and realized that it was going to have to be more than 10 pages, which meant (with the way I work) I wouldn't have time to color it. I had to choose between pretty colored pictures and telling the whole story that I wanted to tell. In the end I chose the story. So I can relate to not having visuals done on the level you want them to be, just see what you can do so that you don't end up defaulting or anything. Who knows, maybe your pencils will be enough.

Heh, I take it extensions aren't allowed in the tournament.
Not to worry I PROMISE to get at least the pencils for all the pages in.

Welcome to void you two, just remember to do your best, the minimum is a mere 3 pages too! And yes I am going to say this to everybody.

Artist
Urah, while you didn't finish, I got a better sense of story from your side & for the art you were showing it was pretty good. I think more than anything else, you need to focus on your layouts. They're confusing. In a sequence there sometimes, I was having trouble telling where I was supposed to look next. And if the reader has to pause like that, you're murdering the comic's pacing. It's always best to move left to right & then down. Say you have two panels on top of each other to the left of a tall panel as big as the both of those. Do you look right or down first? if you look down first, that's breaking your typical flow. If you look at the taller panel first, the next row you're only getting half way through the page until you have to look down & that's awkward. If you do break that sort of composition, lead the eye more to guide the reader through what they're reading & keep it clear.
