Talion was once a member of an elite special forces unit in the Heavenly Army, known as the \'Host of Light\'. The commander of the unit, Azreal, betrayed the unit and was double crossed himself. Talion and the surviving members of the Host of Light were sentenced to guard duty for the betrayal of their commander, until the end of the Earthly realm. Talion\'s post was at the gates of Eden during the time of Adam. Talion and his partner were attacked by a full squad of demons and during the melee the great deceiver was able to sneak into Eden and provide the catalyst to the fall of man. Talion\'s partner was gravely injured during the battle, but the two of them managed to destroy 8 of the 10 demons. The remaining 2 demons fled with their master as he left.
For \'allowing\' Satan to enter into the Garden, Talion has been banished to Earth for as long as the humans are banished from the Garden. For eons he has wondered the earth helping where he can and providing guidance when necessary.

Talion still retains all of his powers and abilities granted to him as a Seraph, as well as his eight wings depicting his rank. The typical angelic powers of travel at the speed of thought as well as the ability of flight and past/ present knowledge of anyone he speaks with still apply. He can of course appear as different things to different people. Not a shape shifter but merely changing what others can see. To some he could be a kindly old woman, others a passing handyman, but to most he is simply not seen. It is only those with the rare gift of \'discernment\' or to whom he reveals himself that can pierce the veil to the spiritual realm to actually see demons and angels in their true forms.

As a warrior of the most Almighty, Talion is partnered with a sword forged from spirit matter. His sword, Tian Xiao Hui, is as intangible and as incorporeal as he is, however it can cut through anything that has been made of this earth. Being of a spiritual nature, Xiao Hui can sever the spirit from the body leaving the body completely intact. This is generally looked down on however as an empty vessel is begging for a demonic host.
