Asparagus is great baked without the bacon with some light olive oil and salt too.

Tonight's dinner was herb bacon covered asparagus. I found a similar recipe online looking for bacon-related recipes. I simply removed the bottom stringy part by snapping the bottoms off (they are saved for later) and wrapped 1 strip o' bacon over 4 asparagus stems. Later added sea salt & herbs before popping them in the oven. It tasted awesome!!!
