The anatomy needs work. Like the first image even, the way you've got her hips looks like her pelvis is fractured. I think foreshortening's the biggest problem. If you're basing poses off 3d models, you have to take perspective into account better. For instance the panel with her & the guns in front of her. Closer to the POV means bigger. Also, that same shot, her hips look off too. I don't know what these models your using look like, but are they rigged properly?
More variance in the angles would be do wonders too. It feels a little like you set up the model but you're looking at characters at almost the same distance in each panel, meaning the character's the same size in each panel. Once you get the reference, don't be afraid to scale up or zoom the shot in. Don't let the reference you're using dictate your storytelling, that's the story's job.
And the backgrounds look super sterile. It looks all uniform & line-arty. Try to vary things up more. Make it look like a world people live in & not building blocks.

maa703: nice work gibbo, i especially like how you drew tanc.  Sry i didn't have anything for ya, what is this beyond battle thing?

I'm glad you liked the rendition of TANC, I was worried it would end up looking weird! I think Angie explains it better than I can in this thread: [ http://entervoid.com/index.php?topic=11404.msg194668#msg194668 ] but basically like Popokoli did with 'Greg vs Jules', if you did work on a comic for this but ran out of time you're still able to submit it after voting for the battle is finished.

Evil Eye > Was really happy to read your feedback thanks! I was originally just going to draw them drinking milkshakes or something but then thought 'screw it, they need a gangsta moment'. It was either that or draw them making out. Also glad to hear it worked better without the references, I'll do my damnedest to think of stories in future without relying on that mechanic (not an easy habit to get out of since my prior main comic experience was a Penny-Arcade-esque, slice-of-life, talking-head webcomic that pretty much only had pop culture references)

You're now part of the site you can battle whoever you want.  You can battle people who dropped from the tourney or even any regulars.  In fact it's encouraged.

If I made a list of things I would never expect in an Azelle story, gangster-esque dual-wielding of tec-9's would definitely crack the top three.  God damn did I laugh.

I think this was an improvement over the first one.  The whimsy of it all had a more controlled tone and it ended leaving me with a non-ironic smirk, so I can't ask for much more.  You handled your opponent well and I enjoyed that Tink just bitchslaps Azelle and gets away with it scot-free.  I like the entitled personality it gives off -- takes some serious balls to go around Void City, having no powers, and just slap somebody for annoying you a little.

I also quite like how you didn't need pop culture to crack a joke this time around.  I think I liked that most of all.

(insert anatomy critique everyone but me has probably already said better than I could here)

Aw man, was really hoping to see how Azelle looks in your style maa... hoping maybe you've still got something you could submit as a Beyond battle?

Con/Sketch > It's really cool to hear that - kinda makes sense considering I didn't get out much as a lad, those late 80's/early 90's cartoon shows were something I just couldn't get enough of... Ninja Turtles, Bravestarr, Biker Mice from Mars, SWAT Kats, Bucky O' Hare, Talespin and so on (hmm, actually I'm just realising now why I draw a lot of anthro characters)  :)

Angie/TIN > Getting more fluid/dynamic poses is definitely something I need to work on. As folks have pointed out before, I do use 3D models for reference (an absolute godsend since I can't really pre-sketch on paper due to a minor disability and instead learnt to draw using a mouse), so I'm hoping that the more I practise, the better I'll be able to manipulate those models and get some decent poses going!

Thank you for the comments guys!

Gibbo- Your style is every bit as charming as Azelle and you do a great job of telling this short and sweet little tale in as concise yet punchy way as possible. Your animations and expressions are nice, you've got a knack for faces but your forms feel sort of static in the environs. I do applaud you improved settings and nice colors of course, your complete package is fantastic.

Maa- Maaan, what could have been, I realize it's hard for high-level artists to crank out pages but even your B-game stuff is head and shoulders above most. Definitely hope and pray this ain't the last we've seen of Think and Tank. Get a longer due date and do that voodoo you do so well.

Gibbo-I thought this comic was cute and better than your previous entry. The main thing I see that stands out is that your poses are fairly stiff. Try to get some gesture drawing in or quick sketching in prior to tackling pages and see if that helps you get more natural poses!

Gotta agree with Con, here. The style and plot does have that "90's cartoon" vibe to it. It did feel a bit fast paced to the ending but still fun to read, regardless. Nice work.

Gibbo, for some reason halfway through this your style started to remind me of old school cartoons from when I was a kid, only put in comic form. Maybe it's the colour scheming, or the style of lining, but for some reason I thought of Ninja Turtles halfway through the comic. Not a bad thing at all mind you, just interesting to me. I also agree that this is a great improvement over your last comic. Still very adorably random, but I definately liked the interaction.

Gibbo: i liked that one way more than the one you did before.
It was really sweet

maa703: Im a bit disappointed.
I set great expectations in you.
I dont know the reason for your defaulting but if it was the time again, you should really try to make your comics more compact.

Submitted!

Argh, ended up working all night again, this can't be good for my health! Didn't manage to get time to do some proper shading 'n things and the story was a bit rushed... shorter than originally planned, but otherwise happy with my second comic. :)

Eeee, up against Tink & T.A.N.C.! Just gonna go hyperventilate in the corner for a bit...

Good luck maa, I promise there will be no gaming references this time round!
