Character Voices

VOICES?! Eheheheh...

Cassidy: She could have a screamy loud shrieky one. Somethin' a bit like Ed's little sister Sarah and a bit of Mung Daal's wife Truffles.

B.O.T: He's british. The voice that's set to, I mean. With a robotic echo to emphasize his roboticness...

Ah I'm super bad at these cause I always have about 20 different ideas of what a character should sound like Plus I'm just super bad at celebrity names but I think these works! I think, when I picture Abby, I get a real Leah Clark vibe? There aren't too many clips of her just talking online but I found a couple so you can get a general vibe of how she sounds. The first one is from a demo of all the voice actors but, I cut to her part and the second is video that is a compilation of various voices she's done. Still get more of a Rubi voice but hey, options are rad!

https://youtu.be/BVASYp_6kI8?t=1m3s

Maybe a mix of the two? ; v; this is why I don't like deciding things.

I always pictured Sam as being voiced by Michael J. Fox

Its kind of a debate with me about The Fool considering how much of a dark character she is and well into her twenties so its probably logical to give her a deepish kind of voice but I still favor giving her a pretty high and even teenage sounding voice. Basically saying how her voice never aged from when she was a teenager basically. The high pitch in her voice doesn't really show unless she's being hysterical and emotional.

I mainly use Sarah Hyland as her voice claim, especially after seeing her performance in SVU but I'm also liking Im Soo-Jung's voice after rewatching 'A Tale of Two Sisters'.

Oh holy crappers! I thought I was completely alone on this whole your characters have a voice rather than just text and trying to imagine what they sound like. Because all of my characters have a voice and I know many many bands to give examples of what each of my characters sound like. I'm sorry some of these bands are foriegn not in English but I think it's ok because they're just examples right? My character Lurriax Gavolor sounds like this guy in Das Ich VNV Nation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bzIUCJLD5c, and this one too here same band Das Ich https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMuNv4yIPPk hopefully these links actually work because I don't know what I'm doing, I'm just guessing on how you do links. Bahn Rue Kahone (this character I soon will be submitting hopefully this week) he would sound like this, you guys don't have to listen to the whole 13 minute video because that's a bit long don't you think?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2QBPM9cX6s. Rue Bannue Kahone another guy sounds like Mo Do, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m4DcPOlXQQ, Kraxis and Lullia Hrached sound like these two in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTqCGXQdVsI, Kraxis is a dragon man thing and looks mothing like the guy in the video and Lullia is the girl though she's a snake like entity in my comics not human. Ha have not posted any characters nor any comics of mine yet. But yeah my characters I mention here hopefully will come out sooner than later. Bahn Rue Kahone will be the first one out because I am currently working on him. The thing about videos and voices is that you sometimes can never find the right voice for your character but only the closest examples you find. Sucks sometimes but it's alright. Well I'm going to stop here for the moment for now because I got a bit tired here. Too many things at once right now. But later I'll continue if anybody's interested but if not I'll stop here.

But yes having a voice for your character is awsome! You can't deny it it's so cool. Your characters seem pretty interesting, Conway looks like he'd win over Bahn easily because Bahn just will let it happen, not try to resist unless he knows he's going to get killed by Conway. Would Conway hurt anybody? I'm just curious. I'm going to take a look at your character to get a better view.

I just felt like poking in here and saying mine,
Caith would probably be either Roger Rose doing something similar to his fire emblem fates voice or gideon emery doing something like the keaton voice less rough

This is so cool! I love pulling everyone's design sheets up and listening to the voice clips; gives a whole new life to the character!

When not speaking, the best I can equate to Emmelia's voice are a combination of the Silent Hill nurses, and Hudson Leick, bested noted as Callisto from Xena: Warrior Princess. Higher-pitched, sometimes airy, a whole lot of weird grunts and mostly random shrieks especially when on attack mode.

Frank on the other hand kind of has the same thing going on as Batman: Dark Knight Rises's Bane, but with an Austrian accent. Only thing I've come across that I can think of at the moment, is the male voice in Krystal System's Master and Servant cover (0:18).

As for that "Man Meat" of a dude Ozias I'm 85% sure I'm going to submit to Void next, he's real easy. Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden from Fight Club, the same character who unfolded the remainder of the Ozias's construction. Brad Pitt's voice in general works for Ozias, but Tyler's kind of strangely harmonious inflections while being incredibly energizing to listen to, are key in Ozias's portrayal.

I think a lot about random, stupid shit with my characters, and obviously get a lot of inspiration from movies.
Hello, I get inspiration from music, movies, shows, books, and comics so I am all over the place. When it comes to most of my characters I use music to represent what they sound like I take a movie or show clip if I can't explain it in words or pictures corectly. If I want to show an example of how they behave and sound. I tried clicking on your links but none of them work so I'm kinda disapointed and a little mad because I really wanted to see them but it's ok. I know a lot a lot of music, so much that it will be coming down in a huge list so I can get whatever examples I want because I listen o a lot of different genres of music.

You may have seen me say this in the chat before, but since there's a thread...

I'm imagining Vespa's something like Kylee Henke yelling at her Pokemon game.

I suppose Boek's voice would be something close to Dennis. https://youtu.be/wHOtZGASpJs?t=2m26s

Though Boek talks faster.

Times have changed and so has Koosh's voice. Aziz Ansari is WAY more like what I imagine him to sound like. Can particularly imagine him saying this considering he likes tweeting though I dunno how you'd hit a fire hydrant with a hoverbike.

And I guess the video I posted for Beo for before got taken down or something so here's an interview vid of the guy.

I finally found a voice that kinda suits Corn, the closest that I've found to the voice that's in my head is Will Friedle:

Harlow sounds something like Edward Elric from Full metal alchemist though maybe a bit more posh and less yelly most of the time. though a future power up Harlow may be becoming the Fur Metal Alchemist.
