@MRPR: I cannot begin to tell you how much improvement I see in this comic! It was readable, the colors were fun and the expressions from both characters were great. It really makes me excited to see what your next comic will look like.

@nothin: Congratulations on making Steph the most disturbing character in sdt. The extreme close ups of the mouth taking a bite out of her plus those last words!? They’ll going to end up haunting my dreams.

LORD. I Love..how these two...are presented...by you two. The stars aligned for you two to go toe to toe in this manner, and seeing the split on the votes [ B/c I had to vote b4 I started writing b/c my curiosity was deafening ]  I’m guessing others feel the same.

MRPR:

UGGGHHH…. I LOve Doanna. I love her stank attitude. I love her melodramatic explanation of her beginning of her loose fame. I love how quickly the death escalated for Steph, and the ending creating tangible possible, and looming consequences Doanna will have to deal with in one way or another. The art style as well is a great plus for this type of narrative. Theres something about the last page that gives me a sinking feeling of Doanna’s continuation within this tourney that interests me the most; will she be okay? Can she handle when other fuckos barge into her shop? I GOTTA AND WANNA KNOW!

Nothin:

UGGHHH I LOVE STEPH TOO….This brat ass kid adult voring this donut is the stuff of nightmares, and I love that. I love the sudden style shift when they start eating away, and that jarring push towards savage mauling really drives up a sharp anxiety that I have about this character: They will eat up everybody in a horrible gruesome way and I can’t see how and why.

The characterization is my biggest take away from both of your works: How these characters are represented and the dialogue used makes it seem so authentic that these people aren't hardened fighters or noble characters: These are characters that just want to carry on and don't want to be fucked with. And I love that about them. Great work the both of you!

* MRPR1993 You kind of shot the load on explaining her tragic backstory so soon. But amazing lines and great energy! Good luck!

* NOTHIN I'm not a fan of the sixth page where you've cut to silhouette for the consuming of diner dame. If your character is as gruesome and bloodthirsty as this comic portraits you should probably go with the whole gore and blood instead of censoring it as you did. Blood n guts! Have fun good luck!

mrpr: this one is interesting because it looks like doanna never actually refers to steph with any pronouns? at least, not in the dialogue shown, it's all in narration. I'm guessing this is an oversight though. I'm also willing to believe doanna is the type of person that wouldn't respect a pronoun, lol. that said it was probably my fave comic of yours.

nothin: super gruesome, I like that you went for it. I kinda wish you dropped in a few more flats in the white areas in the beginning, but I love the trippy colors at the end.

strong showing from both of you!!

NOTHIN: I love the colour choices for the blood! All bright and uncomfortable, it really adds something to it. The expressions on the characters are totally ace, which was really important for those crazy shots of Steph. It's good stuff and I liked it.

@MrPr: I loved the part where Doanna basically forced Steph to listen to her sad tale of woe. I wasn't expecting that, and it was a nice little bit of character development. Your pixellated style is fun, and the colors and overall look remind me of a 90s point and click adventure game (or maybe it just reminds me of the game YOU'RE working on haha). It took me a couple reads to actually realize that Steph had stabbed Doanna, so I think maybe it would have been better to show that happening instead of just jumping to the aftermath. I do really like the creativity involved in how Doanna accidentally killed Steph, and then the logical choice of trying to hide the body haha. Overall, it was a good comic with just a few minor flaws that made me have to read the comic a second time to fully understand. I look forward to more!

@nothin: Brownie points for using Sludge haha. I enjoyed the way you used her personality to contrast with Steph's personality. I think it added a lot to their attitude. And that moment when they both knew what Steph was about to do was priceless. I really like Steph as a character; I would like to see a bit more of their backstory or something that explains why they would have no problem eating a sentient being like that, or just something to give Steph more of a three-dimensional personality. Your sparse use of color worked out really well to illustrate key points in the comic, too. Looking forward to more!

MrPr - I am really liking your lineless style here. I love the angles you chose for some scenes, I loved the dialogue and got a chuckle or two out of it. Sometimes your figures come off a bit stiff in the action areas, and I think pushing it with the shading could make it pop out even more, grant it more depth.

Nothin - Cute and gruesome entry. You always know how to make clean, lovely lineart and I also got a chuckle or two from your side. I also like the colour palette you used on Page 6 , but I also wish you pushed the colour/shading a bit more with your other pages. And at times the text appears too close to the borders of the speech bubbles, just be a little mindful of that for next time.

Overall, great job the both of you!

@mrpr I liked this fight, but I feel like poking fun at the pronouns thing was a bit tactless.

@nothin whoa that trippy page! LOVE IT! I do think hellis is right in that you should have pushed it a bit more in the absurdity department.

MRP: You are really coming into this style more and more. I really enjoyed that ending show with Donnah dragging the blood bag. Overall, this comic had good comedic timing, good narrative focus and some not bad visuals. GOod job my dude.

Nothin: I enjoyed the comic, although I felt you could have done more with the story. In the end, you told a similar story to MRP without pushing the absurdity enough I feel.
