Art Jams / Re: Void Fanart JAM! UPDATE 8/20

For Belovedvenerate. When I first saw Nadya on the new characters list, I immediately fell in love with her design. She's one character I'd love to battle in the future.

@ zsabreuser It was supposed to be a prosthetic leg of sorts. I fail at drawing anything mechanical ^^;

Just more practicing crap in Painter 11.

I think I'll be using Painter to draw my comics next time, it gives the drawings a more organic feel.

Sorry about the boring 'background', I got too lazy to finish it ^^;

Formerly known as Gossamer Swan, Pascaline has devoted herself to looking after other survivors, primarily young children. She houses them in the remains of her old ballet school as their main refuge. At the same time she listens out hopefully for any news on her parents.

LOL awesome take on male 'Areno' (though the face looks more boyish than male adult, IMO anyway).

I'd so do this, but I don't think the generator has everyone in it  :(

Oh well, still shows some amusing results.

Just random crap of G.Swan, nothing too special.

The first one was when Pascaline was still in Ballet School. Her hair was a little longer then.

The second...I like colouring the lines disney-style at times.

The third one...was my mega-OOOOOOLD design for her when I was still in high school....so glad I changed her XD

The fourth you may have already seen when she was still in the incubator. I thought I'd give you a close up of her.

So true, and so funny at the same time.

Thanks.

I can't draw feet to save my neck (I find them harder to draw than hands in fact), which again is another weakness I don't like exposing.

Cool, thanks for the link.

The eyes being a bit far apart? Hmm...funny, it didn't feel that way to me. But yeah, I'll take another look at that.

Yeah, I realize that.

I'm just very embarrassed to show my weaknesses.

Just thought I'd post some of my artwork from deviantart.

These are some of the works I was pretty happy with (or at least at the time I drew this and that.

(Pyras' character)

(I actually had been given a job to illustrate for a client who writes children's books on caring for the environment, in this case learning about the life cycle of a frog.

Yeah I shamefully altered a photo of a factory for the background. Like I said, backgrounds are not my strongest skill.

I was trying to learn how to draw elderly people, as most of my artworks consist of young anime-esque characters. It's NOT easy...

Painter 11 is one of my best friends. I love the Digital Watercolour brush the most.

One of the examples on why I need to improve on drawing profile shots...

Manga Studio is another one of my best friends.

Practicing drawing hands.....had to use my hand for reference...

Yes, I like Pokemon....ones that are easiest draw that is...

More Pokemon art...

One of the few colouring jobs I'm happy with. Though I was too lazy to draw my own lines at the time....

One of the few Painter jobs I'm happy with.

New here? / Re: INTRODUCE YOURSELF
« on: Mar 27, 2011, 04:25 AM »
Hi, I'm Tatsura (most people refer to me as JC). I live in good ol' Land Down Under (aka Australia, for those unfamiliar with the term).

I've been watching a couple friends here on Entervoid for as long as a year, and after some encouraging prodding from a certain friend I decided to join up. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, mostly anime style, but I am eager to learn more and improve my art to the next level. I admit I am quite terrified out of my wits, for I cannot draw comics and decent backgrounds to save my neck, but I am hoping coming here will help me overcome those obstacles and better my skills.

And umm...that's pretty much it I guess.
