Thanks everybody. It\'s been a real stressful with the hydra of redoing this comic, getting a promotion at work, finding a new apartment to live and getting through commissions and printmaking for Katsucon last weekend.
But I said I wouldn\'t default. And I didn\'t. Viva la me.
Kainsword! This was an awesome display of your work! Man, you\'re a freakin\' TERMINATOR! You just WILL NOT STOP until you\'ve got a finished comic and have beaten your opponent!
Cheers man!

daku - Easily the best ive seen from you. Just work on those humans and backgrounds... you\'re getting better each fight
tbw - Man I know you redid this a gajillion times, and I\'m glad you turned in. Page composition and character renderings are king in this, but I would have love to have seen some inks. Probably too busy with commissions last weekend right!

kainsword17 i gotta say your character kicks arse and you art in places looks seriously tight, theres just the tiney things that let it down, i definately agree with the comment about the contrast, with out the marker lines your drawings would look hella better
The Burning Wave love your style you are amazing though i would totally love to see your stuff inked up.

Tess - too bad it was all sketchy and...I had no idea what was happening at the beginning der, but you have a kick ass style. The day that you pull it all out and ink and such, will be a happy one indeed.
Daku - good job man! ONe of the best fights from you I\'ve seen . I just wish you would adjust your brightness and contrasts for your pages to get rid of those marker lines - your stuff would totally POP!

Wordless, huh? Ok.. this is how it went down as i see it..
Daku: Now this battle was written to be wordless. All action.. no talking. No words needed.. except.. the art was a liiiittle on the sloppy side which meant that words WERE needed. Words or not.. just work on making what\'s going on a little clearer.
Flame: son.. i know exactly how it is to be low on time and stressed about a battle. (see my last/current battle and you\'ll understand) Your battle looks like it was SUPPOSED to have words in it.. but you just took them out. I dunno... the chars just seemed talkative though there were no word bubbles. I love the art.. just wish the pages were completed. such is life.

Attack of the text-less comics!
Kain: your fight was a little confusing without words, and the whole \"hole\" thing was funny, but seemed out of place. your art skills are nice except for tess, the anatomy\'s got you beat. Still, things are looking good.
TBW: wicked rendition of Daku, but again, lack of words makes things difficult to follow. The ending, like kain\'s fight, seemed out of place and took me by suprise. Art was tight, so you get my vote.

I\'ve waited a long time for this battle and it seems Daku\'s terms were a \"no words\" battle? Cool if you\'re intending on working on storytelling abilities but I found both battles hard to follow...particularly on pg 3 for both of them and also in terms of how defeat was achieved. How did the hole appear beneath Tess in Daku\'s fight? and exactly how did Tess defeat Daku in TBW\'s fight (Daku looks like he\'s about to charge again after being knocked into the air). It may just be me.
I didn\'t like the sketchiness of ur fight TBW since in some places imo, the foreground was even more sketchy than the background (or rather was less defined than it). I think your storytelling may be a little more lacking than Daku\'s but that\'s just my opinion (again) and we\'re all here to learn and have fun. I personally also didn\'t see Tess as someone who\'d fight one-on-one unless she had to but ah well.
I liked them both but to a degree
