Alright, It's about time I started grinding my nose to the canvas and get Pichi ready for VOID. So I took some time and actually finished her ref sheet! It's been a while I know, but I'm going to get Pichi into VOID by Christmas time so help me!

Now to complete the intro comic!

The 2 speechbubbles in page 2 (Panel 2 and Panel 3) that cut into other panels as well, it confused me as to how I'm supposed to be reading the page, which panel is the next one. And this could be solved by zooming out and/or rearranging the panels composition.

But looks good overall! Cute characters~

Yeah, page 2's bubbles still need some positioning work, and I did see the issue with the second bubble cutting into the "5th" pannel_{(middle right)}. I also agree that some of the shots could be pulled back a bit more and a couple tweaks made to the panel shapes as well. Lucky for me, I keep all my panel sketches on their own layers, so editing them isn't really much of an issue. ;b

As for page 1, again, bubble positioning could use a little tweaking before final. But generally, I'm happy with how Page 1 is set up. It's kind of meant to impose a sense of tension. Which is why I've chosen to keep the shots either close to the characters, or at strange semi-tilted angles.
As it goes from page 1 to page 4, the angles become more relaxed and inclusive of the whole area.
Once all the art itself is finished with backgrounds, lighting, and foreground elements, it'll be a little more effective than the sketch page is. :V

As for the intro comic, The dialogue has been finalized, I still only have the last page 100% complete, but I'll start working on the rest of them again some time this week.
Here's page 1 and 2 in their final layout sketch/semi detail sketch states. Page 3 needs to be completely redone to fit with the script.

I used a god damn mouse for this shit.

I just cant get over how amazing these are. they make my day. xb

I'll be including a human as a height reference on the finished ref sheet.

I went through about 3 different ideas for the intro comic, and I believe I've hit the jackpot.

I usually try really hard to explain why things are the way they are with a character, but I've found that leaving some things to the imagination makes for much more interesting characters. It adds a bit of mystery.

There's no need to explain everything, but explain just enough that the character is believable.

Welcome to Void! I have a question that would determine a followup question: Is she meant to be a cat that can stand upright (and/or talk?), or a unique bipedal catlike creature (magical origin? etc.?)

She's part of a lineage of magic infused cats, She can speak both cat and understandable language due to this magic.

A little bit of history: Only a single kitten from a member of this lineage is bestowed with this magic and it is only passed down along the female line. Each member has a unique ability aside from the ability to speak. It is not known when the first magical cat appeared.

Pichi's ability let's her "teleport" in a sense, but only a short distance. Approximately 2.5 yards(7.5 feet) max. When the ability is used, it leaves behind a cat statue in her place.

I've been lurking around VOID for a while, reading all the cool comics that everyone's been making.

I'm an self published comic artist and with a knack for character creation. I'm also a self taught artist, with some help in the very beginning from my brother, who you all may already know, Citronrobotlord.
I currently have a character in the works that I'll be submitting into VOID.
